psalm 112? or somewhere near it...
ok I stand corrected its PSALM 118:8.
"It is better to take refuge in Jehovah
Than to trust in earthling man."
There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

Which translation? KJV? NIV? CEV? Perhaps you should go to the Greek. Textus Receptus or Nestle-Alland? And don't forget the Jewish scriptures are Hebrew (and they don't have a "New Testament"). Do you include the Apocrypha?
The Bible was divided into verses around 1227, rather arbitrarily, by Stephen Langton, the Archbishop of Canterbury. Some verses are long, some short, some break in the middle of a thought. (One wag suggested he divided them during a long, bumpy carriage ride.) Anyone before his time knew nothing about chapters and verses. The original Greek New Testament didn't even have punctuation, capitalization or word spacing. So looking for the "exact center" of the Bible is a matter of interpretation about as meaningful as those "Bible Code" exercises. Better to read it straight than to look for hidden meanings.

Well, that's certainly a way of looking at the bible, but it's not mine. The contents are for me most important, and when I seek the center of Gods will, then I seek it in the content of the bible, not in the center of verses by number.

What is your point? If you turn to the center point of any book and read, you could probably drum up some meaning.

well you didn't specify which VERSION of the bible.. so, here's my advice..
Take your bible and count up the number of pages in it.
Divide that number in half.
Go to that page and then count up the number of verses.. then pick the one in the middle :)
Thanks for the chuckle.. oh, and the 2pts
