Ha ha ha. No. I do it all the time. I make sure not to say "God Bless you though." I let the other person think what they want. It's really just a socially accepted politeness that originated when people thought that sneezing meant your soul was trying to escape from your body. Humanity has gotten a lot smarter since then, but we just couldn't shake the habit. But if I ever sneeze around you, I promise not to be offended if you say "Bless you" or not.

No, on the contrary, you are a very good Atheist, and very sensible, too.

No, it's just become a common cultural phrase. You could do like they did on Seinfeld and say "you are so good looking" when someone sneezes instead. It's just as arbitrary and it makes people feel good.
