Because some use scripture and some use their own ideas.Scripture is always valid, our own ideas sometimes.
There is a verse that says God will wipe away all tears and the old world will be forgotten and remebered no more.So some may think that we will all move on and forget that past based on that or some other reason.

There is disagreement about a lot of issues in Christianity, especially about things like the end times and what Heaven will be like.
One reason some people say that we won't have any memories in Heaven is that most people will have friends or relatives that won't make it to Heaven, and they wonder how they could be happy in Heaven knowing that their friends/loved ones aren't there.

The Book of Revelation tells us that God will wipe every tear from the eyes of those in Heaven and that there will be no mourning or crying, for the old order of things has passed away. This suggests that the memories of a life of suffering will be wiped out. It is also evident that we shall not be aware of the absence of people whom we loved on earth and who are not in Heaven with us, as that would inevitably be a source of sorrow.
But being human, we cling to the idea of being reunited with loved ones and to the thought of being able to recognise them in that better life.

I'm going to guess here that no one has ever come back from heaven and told us all if their memories had vanished. That would be the most logical reason for the controversy.

Because they are just repeating what they have been told. Heaven doesn't exist, neither does hell. The bible is a folk-tale. God is a lie.

All tears are wiped away, but you will recognize people you knew on earth. I don't know if anything will be wiped away, since the bible says we shall know all things.

Because it's a made up story. You can't expect people to get their facts straight when you're dealing with fiction, not facts.
