I was trying to find a listing of GREAT Christmas light displays, but I can't seem to find ANYTHING like that ANYWHERE online. When I lived in Portland, OR, there was a street that practically EVERY house was lit up, and there was cocoa and music - it was great. EVEN in Tucson AZ, there was a neighborhood that decorated in wonderful displays too. I can't find ANYTHING like that near Boston MA... any help?
Thanks!

I understand tradition and all, but come on, the spoon and fork are clearly major upgrades, not to mention the knife. After all, they use plows in the fields...its not as if they are plowing with two pool cues attached to the tractor! What gives?

A simple question I guess. That is if you would have the answer.
If in fact we humans were evolved from apes or any other organism here on planet earth. Why is it that these creatures and or organisms are not still producing humans. As you believe there are flaws in Fatih there are many flaws in your scientific explanation for human life. Seeing how life had to originate from somewhere I will propose another question. If life had to orginate from a living organism, where did that very first living organism come from? Then of course how did the Universe, and planets come about for this living organism to survive? Seeing how there is no solid proof explaining how these things came about proves that your basing your ideas on what you assume happened, so in conclusion I believe your ideas of the creation of life based on science are about as far fetched as you think religious beliefs are.
But you wouldnt agree would you?

In Spanish class we are learning the imperfect subjunctive (If I was able to.../Si lo pudiera...; If you had seen it.../Si lo hubieras visto...etc). I had been aware of this tense before, but in my family (Cuban-American) I have always heard another form being spoken. Instead of "Si lo pudiera..", "Si lo pudiese.." is said. I asked my teacher about this and she said that "-ese-" imp. subj. was an archaic literary form never used in speech, yet here are all my relatives using it in day-to-day talk. Does anyone else know about spoken usage of this supposedly "archaic" tense, and why it would have been retained in Cuba's dialect? (preferably other Cuban-Americans?)

How do you do it? Do you smile at everyone? Do you just mind your own business? Do you chat with the person who rings up your merchandise or do you just keep it down to business and then get out of there?

In the first part, many or most people consider it killing of an innocent human.
In the second part, a woman puts herself at risk of physical harm, emotional harm, and even risks her very life.
When having the baby is a far safer option that doesn't pose nearly as severe risks.

Isn't abortion, then, a great disregard for human life, insomuch as even if you deny the first part, you must still come to terms with the second.

what is a "traditional" lesbian relationship. What I mean is what are the stages? Like when you meet, start dating, (move in, etc), move on? Is there a part where you start to get jealous over your girlfriend (or starting of a girlfriend) talking to other people? Basically, do lesbians tend to be jealous in their relationships? Women, tell me a little of your relationships.

Any suggestions. Our tree is releasing sap badly, and it's getting on the wrapping paper. Also, many dead bugs are falling out.

The Catholic Church and the U.S. government (at the behest of Bush's nutty fundamentalist friends) have insisted that telling Africans not to have sex is more effective than handing them a known prevention method - condoms. That's despite every study y ever done saying the opposite.

My family goes one at a time and takes turns, it takes us forever, but it is fun to watch people open your presents that you gave them.
The stockings are always last, sometimes we forget them. Then have to go back and do them later.
We do get to open one on Christmas eve.

I am new to all this, but feel like it just comes naturally to me. I started a new cleansing/blessing ceromony in my apartment. It was pretty simple.
I have oil burners in my living room, bathroom, and bedroom. So I took this little tray I have and put 3 tea light candles on it like a triangle. I also put the scented oil (nag champa in 2, morning glory in the bathroom) on the tray and a small glass of water. I lit incense in the kitchen and bedroom,(also Nag Champa) and grabbed my tray with one candle lit, and my abalone shell with burning sage and started in the kitchen and worked my way to the bedroom, refilling and lighting the oil burners and fanning the sage.
I didn't say anything, I just focused on bringing happiness to the rooms, especially in sad places. I'd concentrate until the negative energy was gone and then move on.
I made this up, and it worked good. Who else does ceremonies like this? And am I chosen to do this, or did I get lucky? Thank you for your answers.
