True, before the Koran the heights of science and civilization were in the pagan roman empire. Most specifically enineering and architecture ( and, by way of the greeks, philosophy). Much of what the muslims did was preserve and study the works of the greeks philosophers and preserve ancient knowledge while christian europe was in the dark ages and learning was surpressed outside the church. Fortunatly, the muslims not only preserved those works but added math, alchemy astonomy, medicin, and so on. Though they might not have reached the level in some of these that were known in olden days, they far surpassed anything allowed under the church.

First of all, you need to change your name because that really offends me. Just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean you have to broadcast it in that manner...that is so immature. Ain't nobody muslim did nothin to you so you need to keep that side of you locked in the closet. Ever since 9/11, ya'll love to act like the whole religion of Islam bombed the twin towers. When, in truth, it was only individual people and guess what, they DO NOT represent Islam. For yor ignorant information 1.6 billion people can't fit on just two planes. Secondly, for all ya'll ignorant ppl who answered the question with mess bout Muhummad (PBUH)... Muhummad (PBUH) did not write the Qu'ran. You need to do research before claiming dumb things like that. The Qu'ran was revealed by Allah to Muhammad (PBUH), Muhammad was just a prophet who delivered the message. And I really don't care to hear none of ya'lls feedback cuz I really don't care wut u think, and I'm sure u don't care wut I think either, but I figured ya'll needed some clarity. PEACE OUT.

Its non sense when some muslim says, quran is true because there is science in it. It doesnt make it truth. Afterall what is truth for if it asks to kill fellow people,it may be partly true, that doesnt make it any better.
I dont know what mohammed has stolen from india, but its not a great deal. I think people who have converted to islam have lost a lot, common sense.

Bogus. You are just making this up. The early Church was totaly primitive about science. If you think the Muslims stole their Science read it again because the certainly did not get much, and there was not much for them to get.

How can you prove that Muhammad "stole" that information? I know that there are a lot of similarities between greek writings such as those of Aristotle and what Muhammad wrote but how can you prove that Muhammad stole it from them?
