Do you think that getting rid of death altogether will rid world of the belief in gods and an afterlife? Imagine when we are so advanced that the vast majority don't really die? memory upload and cloning will make as finally immortals. All diseases eradicated. If you die they'll just transfer your memory to a computer until they can clone you a new body and then upload all your thoughts. Will people finally stop relying on an afterlife and god so much? what do you think?

They will get out and run the roads, go to bars, cheat on their partners, do dope and so on then they think going to church on sunday and wednsday makes them a christian, why is this?

Athiesm is the belief that there is no God, right?
In order to know that there is no God, you would have to know absolutely everything. Everything!
It's like saying, there are no watches in the north pole. I would have to know every rock, nook, and cranny in the north pole to make that statement.
So, all you self proclaimed athiests are really agnostics (someone who doesn't know about God), right?

This dead beat at work called me to cover for her her Monday while I was on vacation because she was deathly ill. Given her history of being out all the time for stupid reasons, I went back and covered for her Tuesday. She came back to work today whining about how near death she's been all week. She also told me that Monday night while deathly ill she had to fulfill a contract with the school to take pics at a dance (she moonlights as a photographer). Anyway, I heard her talking to our boss about how sick she was and I made the comment that I bet those school pics didn't turn out very well her being so sick when she took them. The boss fumed and took away 2 of her vacation days for next week as she was supposed to be off. I'm just wondering if I should watch my back now? Was I too b**chy?

I am thinking of doing my studies in one of these cities.
I have been to London before and quite enjoyed it, but have yet to visit New YOrk (and dying to!!)

There are good schools in both cities but the sort of living is also a main factor of which city i choose.

Most crucial factor = AN EXCELLENT TRANSPORT SYSTEM! Because I really don't like driving!!!

I like apartment based living, plently of walking space (like parks..lakes etc), ultimate convenience (stations..lots of taxis..nearby shops!), and a bustling night life with concerts (mainly classical music, plays, ballets, operas etc), museums!

and plenty of weekend activities...

Any thoughts?

I was watching a real life tv show. and this lady who was christian, wouldn't let anyone who didn't believe in jesus into her house. (she was nuts)

Are there many christians like this or was she just a one off? (i understand theres people that take it to extremes in each religion)

And i dont understand how people can be like this, its pretty much just like being racist.

Would you rather know about it, or would you rather not know about it?
Keep in mind, this disease, whatever it might be, is going to kill you, no hope for a cure, no hope for any recovery.
This might be a little strange, but I think I would rather not know about it, having my own mortality hanging over me like that would be too much of a burden, possibly making my last days miserable.What's your opinion?

Clément Mathieu est un surveillant dans l’école appelle « Le Fond de L’Étang » J’ai eu une enseignante comme lui, elle s’appelle Miss Charlotte! Elle était une personne sérieuse, attentionné, déterminé, intelligente, et drôle en même temps! Nous rencontrée quand j’ai été dans septième année! Elle m’enseigne les arts du langage pour ma première année et la direction pour le deuxième. Avant de la rencontrer, j’ai été très entêté, naïf, insoucieux, et autoritaire! Mais, après prendre ses leçons à cœur, je suis une personne tout changer! Comme elle a été mon enseignante de direction, elle m’a enseigné des leçons de vie valables, pour exemple : d’être tranquille, compétitive, créative, concerné, critique, et persuasive! Grâce à elle j’ai gagné beaucoup des prix et j’ai amélioré la qualité de ma vie! Merci Miss C pour tout!!!!

I've looked in my dictionary and it says to say "jarga" but that
doesn't make sence b/c when I told my cousin ( i was trying to explain the word slang to her) she doesn't know what i'm talking about. If there is any one that can help me describe this to her it would be great! Also can you add some spanish slang words to go with it (preferably South American/ but NE kind is ok).
