I hate it when people judge and think that they are better than another..Just because you see some like that don't mean they all are like that..

Matthew 7:1-5. I go out to eat and have a couple of drinks once or twice a week. There is absolutely nothing wrong with drinking if it's done in moderation. The people who seem to cheat on their spouses are usually the ones who are judging everybody all the time, like Ted Haggard I guess they think a good offense is the best defense/smoke screen. Most of the Christians I run around with pray daily–it's not just a Sunday/Wednesday thing with them.

I am a Christian, and yes, it does disturb me when I see people doing that. I think that before you claim a religion you should try to get to know possibly all that you can about it so that way if there is something that you disagree with, you don't have to claim that religion. For instance, people may grow up saying that they're Christians just because their parents are, but then they decide that they want to drink and do drugs and all of this stuff and then they learn that Christianity is against it. It is very apparent to me that the people who do this are not true Christians... if they were they would not do this.

Well, honestly, it is not our place (as Christians) to judge any one else's "walk" with the Lord... you know, "how can I pull a splinter from someone else's eye when I have a board in mine?" I notice the things you named are commonly looked upon as making a person a "bad" Christian or person but Christian belief teaches that ANYTHING done to excess and that does that edify God is to be convicted... the person who works to much and ignors their family, the person who goes a lot of good stuff for others because it makes THEM feel good, the person who gives to people in need and tells everybody about it... there's much, much, more.
My advice is to stay on your walk with the Lord and have compassion for those who have a struggle... who knows, the Lord may call on you one day to actually reach out a loving hand and help these very people that you think so little of... that is what Christian love is about, isn't it? So how can I hate these people? OOPS... I'm answering your questions with questions.
MERRY CHRISTMAS... and remember the reason for the season.

Its because our leaders are not picked in accordance with Scriptural guidlines set forth in Tim. and so they do not tell us about the fact that there is supposed to be accountability within the church and the guidlines for that are in Mathew 18 and in both letters to Tim.
Everybody gets stuck on that do not judge thing which properly interpreted says we are not to condemn others which is needless to say God's job.
The idea of evaluating conduct and holding each other accountable is not the same as condemning. Also the guidlines prescibe a loving way to hold each other accountable.
As for me if I have egg on my face I want to know it so I can make a course correction and move on.
I read the other answers now as I edit. Isn't it interesting that no one actually answered your question "Why is this?".
spose they do not know why and if not then why don't they. Goes back to the picking preachers thing.

I have the same kind of feeling to see a Christian does something bad. That is not right. He should be Christlike to sow love and hurt nobody. However, he is unChristian if he does wrong.
Well, the religion is not to be blamed for the Christian's action. God is blameless. It is the responsibility of the doer. He has to face the music. Jesus said it very strongly; for anyone who becomes a stumbling block or affected the faith of God of anyone, it is better for him to tie a mill around his neck and jump into the river. Very serious warning that comes out from Christ. But see what happen, it is very hard to prevent some Christians to behave rightly. So you just forgive them, for they are in trouble with Jesus. Having seen what happens, you must then come in to the fold and preach that warning I just gave you and tell off the person who is quilty. God and Jesus will surely bless you.

Christianity is how you live your life, not a front pew in church on Sunday mornings. Never been a big fan of organized religion, but do consider myself a strong Christian. What you are talking about has always irked me.

A person can not be a Christian and serve sin. That does not mean that Christians will be perfect we all live in our sinful bodies in a sinful world. If churchs have members who are serving sin then the ones in charge should speak with these people according to scripture and if the behavior continues they should be excommunicated or seperated that their souls may be saved.

I dont!
But that's exactly what Christianity is about - Do what you like - Jesus died or your sins.
But the Bible shows that Jesus the two thieves were crucified but not the Christ.
Christ was sety FREEEEEEEEEE by the honest Roman Governors who set up their two centurions and 200 soldiers to rob the Jews of their land forever, on the Sabbath with two crucified thieves hanging, on the Sabbath.
AMEN!

This is an excellent question, I to have found that, But you keep your faith and don't judge these people, like god do that!!! You can make the difference, God wants a personal relationship with you, talk to him like he's your best friend, have him guide you, and if you can't invite him to places you want to go or do, then don't go. always ask yourself "what would Jesus do"in this situation, and if I want to go to a party, would Jesus want to be here also. Always talk to him, Soon you'll hear him. Remember he is the true father and he wants the best for you, Your sister in Christ

Ah Butterfly.
The reason is sequential: free will - temptation - sin - presumption on God's grace.
Alas - for almost as serious is judging such conduct. Paul advices us to do it with the utmost caution and as a Body of Believers.
Land gently.
