Do you have any *firsthand* experience of men who were were extremely bigoted and homophobic, then turned out to be gay? It's generally taken for granted that it happens, but I was wondering what people's personal experiences were.

There's a guy at my church who once stood up in a meeting and said that gay people shouldn't even be allowed to be church members (we're a fairly middle-of-the-road Church of England parish with a handful of gay people in the congregation). A while later one of my friends bumped into him in a gay bar downtown.

Why is it that so many people become religous during or just after times of great difficulty and hardship eg. relationship trauma, exposure to extreme violence, depression etc?

What does this mean? Why do more "on-top-of-the-world" types not suddenly become devout and does this not lead one to think that religion is merley a temporary crutch for those going through a hard time?

Im not religous and have often wondered about this...

Why are a lot of Black men stereotyped as being an "angry Black man?" I have noticed that a lot of Black guys do seem like they have a chip on their shoulder and like to express how pissed off they are that people are "scared" of them and "profiling" them...but I've noticed some Black guys that aren't so angry. Why does the angry Black man stereotype exist?

Anyone know anything about this? or how i can decipher the meaning of my thing?

you pour molten lead into water and then you decipher the future from the shape it forms

i thought at first mine was a tree, but looking closer, it really looks like a dragon - it even has a nose and mouth and wing

it looks like its looking down at something smaller - bent over as if talking maybe?

also, whilst other peoples were quite long and one-directional, mine really curves over and will actually stand up on its own cos its got a fairly sturdy base

any interpretations or websites pelase?

In paragraphs 13 & 14, pg.146 of "You Can LIve Forever in Paradise on Earth", it's alleged that Jesus' return referred to in Rev.1:7 is not visible and that He will only be seen in "..the sense of discerning or perceiving" and not literally (!). Reference is also made to those who "pierced him" as being not literal descendants of the Jewish nation that rejected & killed Christ, but rather, "..persons who, by hurting Christ's present - day followers, copy the conduct of those first - century men". As Rev. 1:7 clearly corresponds with Zechariah 12:10, how does the WT explain away the fact that the grieving one's who look on the Christ that they pierced are obviously Jews in this passage ? "And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of favor and entreaties, and they will certainly look to the One they pierced through..". Also, the rest of the chapter refers to the mourning of specific Jewish tribes & families! Answers ?

Satan had the power to deceive all!Who played God in the garden of Eden?Adam and Eve were corrupted by Satan!Who,then,is to blame, and should pay the penalty for man's sins? The Bible is not what actually, truthfully happened, but what man thought! Man has always been able to make mistakes, even as to what God intended! All truth and knowledge come from God! Original sin is but, ignorance, not knowing God,or believing in God!No Mother or Father, who love their children, would ever send them away,no matter what they did wrong! The wages or price of sin is death! Meaning, if we sin, someday,we will die! God knows the appropriate time of our death, but we do make choices which shorten our lives on this earth! Killing for atonement was never right, but all needed to eat,and God gave us animals for food!Every biblical writing by man is a version of God's word or actions!Man has been corrupted,by Satan, and so has God's word!We would not know the truth, until end times! reading the answers so far it seems Christians celebrate the supposed birth of their mythical saviour. But what do the rest of us celebrate?

Suppose I celebrate having a few days of work, visiting my family and seeing their joy as they open presents and feast is shared between us. It is also good to cheer ones self up in the cold dark months.

what do you celebrate?
