i am giving my sister a tattoo for Christmas and it is difficult to wrap as she will schedule to get it done at a later date. but part of the fun of gifts is to open them on Christmas, so any ideas on something to give in gift form on Christmas morning?

the tattoo will be put on her, she has not chosen it yet, maybe take some ink and wrap it up with an explanation card?

Get some temporary tattoos. Wrap those and explain to her what you are planning.

The only time putting saran wrap on a tattoo is when it's fresh and your artist puts it on there his/herself . Like someone had said before, a tattoo is an open wound and needs to be able to reach fresh air to heal properly. If you're worried about your ointment getting everywhere, try sleeping on a freshly cleaned towel for the first few nights. Also, when you start using the non-scented lotion, it will soak into your skin, therefore it won't go everywhere while you sleep. Hope I helped!

Write the info on a sheet of paper (or if its a gift card or so) and place it in a box with Styrofoam shells or newspaper to take up the extra space. Wrap the box, put a bow on it, and watch her open it up with delight only to find a card inside. You can also add weight to the box to make it seem like there is even more in it.

Get a picture of the tattoo that she wants to get,Put it inside a Christmas card.

Get her something else that is small, something like earrings... then add a note that says " I think these would look great with your new tattoo! Name the day, and I'll pay! "
That way she gets to unwrap something, but still knows the tat is promised!
p.s. what a cool idea... I'm getting the final add on (lotus petals) on mine today. I'll be sore for xmas, but at least it'll be finished. I think... I keep thinking of adding more....

Get a gift certificate from a reputable tattoo parlor or a favorite one of her choice, if she already has tattoos.. Then put the certificate in a box full of packing peanuts, so she has to search for it..

Put a note in a card that says "Guess what? I'm giving you the gift that keeps on giving... body desecration... You get to look like a hood rat for the next - oh - rest of your life. You can thank me later."
