I agree with some of what you say. Satan has payed for his fall and will soon be in the lake of fire. Obviously he deceived angels, too, as 1/3 of them fell. The Bible says Eve was deceived, and Adam willfully sinned. Sin is punished. A parent who loves their child punishes them, but not more than they can stand. God punished them, but they were sent out, no to nothingness, but they had to work harder to survive.
I believe the Bible was given free of errors to man. Some corruption may have crept in, but even the different translations have basically the same message.
In the end we will know the truth, and we will all get to the end, but the question is where we will end up.

Are you asking a rhetorical question, or inviting discussion?
Have you ever had children? Have you ever made something that you told your children do not eat, like cookies? Would you be all that surprised if, when you came home, your children ate the cookies, precisely what you told them not to? Would it have come as a complete shock to you, because never (in a million years) would you have expected them to eat the cookies (and especially if you TOLD them not to), or would you sorta go "well, it's not like I didn't know they might eat it."
Any parent who warns their children not to do something, and then is completely taken back by their doing it, is either an absolute idiot or a few cards short of a full deck in the memory department. Why would the parent be riteously upset, if the parent could even conceive enough of the possibility to warn them not to do it?
Again, with the cookie analogy. Obviously, if you did not know the cookies would be tempting enough to eat, you would not have given the children a warning (you don't warn your children to beware of falling meteors when they walk out the door, do you?) So, if they act within the parameters of your thinking, have they really surprised you or done something beyond what you expected; is stealing a cookie a reason for complete banishment (in essence, if people don't repent, according to doctrine, they are cast FOREVER (not just awhile) into pain and torment.)
What parent worth anything would condemn their children forever for something it knew they were likely to do? What parent would even entertain such a notion, or allow it to happen? Hell can only remain eternal if failure on a divine level is possible.
"Whosoever you condemn, so will you be condemned, whoever picks up a sword will die by the sword."
Should be careful about slinging around concepts of sin, death and damnation.

Because of sin, we are witnesses of the reality of sin and what it does. That is why God had to die to redeem us and he will come again and save us and rid the universe of sin, sinners and the devil Satan forever.
Before there was sin, no one knew really what it was it was just a bad thing. But sooner or later it would arise and Lucifer initiated it and therefore in God's infinite wisdom sin is allowed to be played out so that the character of God will be seen and that all the warning before was warranted.
Sin will never again rare its ugly head because God will not allow it again and we wont either because we see what it causes.
Even God had to pay for sin by the death of His only son, which was no ordinary death - no man or woman on earth every had that death - he died for the world everybody who died already died for themself.
Great Controversy:
All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

God commanded Adam and Eve to (re)plenish the Earth.
Re means to do over. So Adam and Eve were not the first
humans in all of Creation.
Some say Eden was in Heaven. Eden, (paradise).
Heaven, (paradise).
The story is symbolic. The "tree" symbolizes the dimensions as they rise up from where we are to the Source of Life.
Eve being made from Adams "rib", the middle of his
body. Shows that woman is not above man, or below
him, in the eyes of the Creator.
The serpent is a symbol of knowledge. Like on the
Medical Professions symbol. Or the "snake" energy, kundalini, that rises up ones spine and brings enlightenment.
The story tells us we have free will, to choose doing right
and wrong. And that there are other lifeforms out
there, and they don't all have our best interests at heart!

If we had the wisdom of God then there would be no need for Him. Adam and Eve were lured to sin by Satan. No different than the way he taunts us everyday.
I disagree with you when you say, "No mother or father, who love their children, would ever send them away no matter what they did wrong." What about a family where one sibling is habitualy molesting the other? Would you not send one away to protect the other? You wouldn't abandone them but certainly you must agree that you also wouldn't allow them to be together? Trusting in God doesn't always mean understanding or even agreeing.
You say, "We make choices which shorten our lives on earth." No, we make choices that altar our quality of life but not our span of time, Our time here is predetermined. If we choose to shoot ourselves but it isn't our time we may end up in a coma, or be mentally impaired, but if it isn't our time then we will not leave this planet.

First of all, let me start off by saying man thinks in definates. There is always a clear cut line. Things are either right or wrong, black or white, good or bad. In the reality of the universe this is rarely so. Things are often one thing and slowly turn into another without there ever being a clear and definate line.
In the context of God and Satin there is a definate line. God = good, while Satin = evil. So the line is very clear. By the Christian teachings God cannot lie or mislead. Also by the Christian teachings the devil uses lies and misgivings as his main tool.
In the story of the guarden of edin, Adam and Eve were given the gift of ignorance. This is where the saying 'ignorance is bliss' comes from. At this time neither Adam nor Eve knew of humiliation, pain, or death, but as everyone knows Satin desguised as a serpent convinced Eve to eat of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. It was a sweet fruit, and she convinced Adam to do it. That was sin number one. God told them they could do anything EXCEPT eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. ( why god would leave such a temptation I dont know, but this must be proof that he is not omnipitent) . When god returned to the guarden he wondered why Adam and Eve were covering themselves, as if they were ashamed of their bodies. He talked to eve first, and she said the serpent made her do it. He talked to Eve, and he said Eve made him do it. These were the second sin. They did not fess up to their sin, they tried to pawn the blame off on someone else.
From there humans were given a double edged sword. We were given knowledge to do anything we wished, but we were also given mortality, so we only had a limited time to enjoy our knowledge.
Personally I am Buddhaist, but the teachings from the christian bible are very interesting.

Adam & Eve chose to disobey their loving God
and eat from "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil!"
When they ate of the forbidden fruit, they became lukewarm,
their innocence instantly disappear and then they knew they
were naked before a perfect, righteous God. Shame entered
into their hearts for the very first time. Friends, that's NOT
myth, it's truth. The following will offend some people
but when hasn't the truth offended those who choose not
to be truthful and obey God's rules for spiritual benefit?
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and chose to believe
the serpent instead of their Lord, they began to see themselves
as God sees sin in their nakedness; being open and exposed
as only God Himself can reveal sin! They ran and hid them-
selves from the presence of the Lord, their best Friend. Why Did God Banish Adam & Eve?
By their disobedience, they broke a covenant with the Lord,
but it wasn't that which caused their banishment from Eden.
How many of you always obeyed your parents? The answer is
none! Did you get thrown out when you disobeyed your parents?
If they were loving parents your answer is no! So we can
deduce that it wasn't eating the forbidden fruit that caused
their shameful departure from Eden. What could it be then?
God is the Same All The Time He Does Not Change!
(Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8)
For everyone who's been to our counseling sessions, that's an
easily answered question but to a vast majority who look at
everything from the physical point first, that query is not
that easy. But knowing the answer to this question will make
one's degree of forgiveness leap by bounds and bounds.
Adam and Eve were not cast from the Garden because they were
disobedient. They were banished because they failed to be repentant to God and ask for His forgiveness. Had they asked the Lord to forgive them, not only would they have been forgiven, but restored to their heaven on earth homeland immediately. There would have been no "days of labour" for us to contend with because an unchanging God will forgive our sins and Adam's before us - always and forever.
Making a long story short, had Adam and Eve asked God
to forgive them, He would have forgiven and restored them back
to Eden and forgotten about their disobedience. But they did
not ask the Almighty to forgive their disobedience. They tried
to make God believe that their sin was not their fault.
Adam said, it was the woman God gave him that CAUSED
him to err. The woman told God it was the serpent who tricked
her and CAUSED her sin. What caused their banishment from
Eden was Adam and Eve's failure to accept responsibility for
their disobedient actions and asking God to forgive them!

The story of Adam and Eve is an allegory. It tells the story of how humans became "civilized". Eden represents the wild, nomadic, stone age life style humanity existed in for most of its history. The fruit represents the technology and knowledge which allowed humanity to give up that lifestyle and begin a sedentary civilization built around agriculture. This revolution stripped men of their traditional role as hunters and forced them to adapt to a new world, which many of them obviously didn't agree with. This is why Eve, a woman, is seen to be the one who corrupts Adam, the man.

Sorry, but this seems less like a question and more like you trying to justify yourself and your actions.
God gave Adam instructions to follow "You can eat of ALL the trees in this garden EXCEPT ONE". He was also to instruct his wife, Eve of this.
So the serpent tempts Eve and rather than allow her husband to handle the serpents accusations (after all, he's the one who was given God's rule), she decides to handle things her way. She eats and then something interesting is written next...
"...[she] did eat, and gave also to her husband WITH HER; and he did eat" Genesis 3:6b
The implication is that Adam was standing right there and did nothing to stop Eve from her error. Then, knowing that God would be displeased and would punish Eve, Adam decides that he won't lose her and follows her in her sin.
While this makes for interesting reading in trashy romance novels, it makes for a LOUSY historical background to build a civilization from.
Each of us are just like them, preferring our own ways to God's. We're no better, and just like them, we need forgiveness for our sins.
And regarding the implication you made that the Bile has been corrupted by man: it strikes me funny that that arguement always comes from the lay people who don't study the Bible. Even secular historians testify of the Bible's integrity to have NOT been changed for thousands of years.
If there's ANYTHING the Dead Sea scrolls taught us, it was THAT.

I guess they disobeyed him, but even if the serpent wasn't there human curiosity would have peaked when god told them not to eat the forbidden fruit.. So would that have been the devils fault or ours, or is god, and the devil, ingrained into our conscious. Would they have still eaten the apple that god told them not to even if satan was not there..
