Do you perchance mean the show Wife Swap? I saw that one, and I agree that woman was over the deep end! Sure hope she's not the norm...

I had Catholicism practically shoved down my throat all my life by my Mom (don't get me wrong, my Mom is a great person), at one point she was so zealous that she told me she would not attend my wedding if I didn't get married in a Catholic Church. I think now she knows it may have been too much, I converted to Buddhism and my sister became a Wiccan, the rest of my extended family are mostly agnostic. My Mom relaxed and learned to if not to understand other religions to at least tolerate them. I think people tend to fear and resent what they don't understand. Unfortunately, I have come too the conclusion that Christianity does not try to teach religious tolerance, that has to be left to the individual.

Like you said, there are extremeists in every religion. This woman just happened to be a Christian extremeist. I am a devout Christian, but I am open-minded and do not look down upon people of another religion and try to convert every non-Christian I see.

It's hard for some people I guess. Sounds like she has problems. One of my life long friends of 25yrs is an agnostic (i'm, and have been for many yrs, a christian). Actually, I have many friends that don't have the same beliefs as I do. I wish we all could think alike, but I don't think this world has ever been like that. I still preach to them, and they still come over and invite me places, so I guess everything is cool.

Psa 26:4 I do not keep company with worthless people; I have nothing to do with hypocrites.
Psa 26:5 I hate the company of the evil and avoid the wicked.
2Co 6:14 Do not keep company with those who have not faith: for what is there in common between righteousness and evil, or between light and dark?

That would be a spirit of religion working. A spirit of religion will take things out of context or to an extreme

I guess she took the verse that says we're not to greet unbelievers or even let them in our house, too far! I clearly don't agree with that verse! Yep, it's pretty much like being racist! But I'd say it's discrimination!
