I am thinking of doing my studies in one of these cities.
I have been to London before and quite enjoyed it, but have yet to visit New YOrk (and dying to!!)

There are good schools in both cities but the sort of living is also a main factor of which city i choose.

Most crucial factor = AN EXCELLENT TRANSPORT SYSTEM! Because I really don't like driving!!!

I like apartment based living, plently of walking space (like parks..lakes etc), ultimate convenience (stations..lots of taxis..nearby shops!), and a bustling night life with concerts (mainly classical music, plays, ballets, operas etc), museums!

and plenty of weekend activities...

Any thoughts?

Sorry I am quite new to Yahoo! answers..forgive me if this goes in the wrong place =)

So you are saying that the vast majority of New YOrkers dont own cars? Thats excellent!! What are apartment rental rates like?

Dear, I think you answered your own question. Definitely New York. The Big Apple seems to fit all your requirements, and no one drives in New York -- it's all mass transit system or taxicabs. Plenty of night life, and culture, apartment living and Central Park.
