what is a "traditional" lesbian relationship. What I mean is what are the stages? Like when you meet, start dating, (move in, etc), move on? Is there a part where you start to get jealous over your girlfriend (or starting of a girlfriend) talking to other people? Basically, do lesbians tend to be jealous in their relationships? Women, tell me a little of your relationships.

I cannot ever recall feeling jealous, in fact I can't recall a situation where it might have applied. This through a relationship that lasted for 42 years.
Sadly, I know what hate is and what it can do because of how my beloved's family treated her, even after her death.
Blessings at this time, Rose P.

No, this is not exactly true. What you must understand: lesbians are with women because they are ATTRACTED TO THEM. It's not because they think men are jealous and controlling. I'm pretty sure that there are men who are. The thing is, women can be jealous and controlling as well. Some of my past relationships prove that! Some people, no matter what their gender, have insecurity issues. They don't want anyone else talking to their significant other because of fear of being left for someone else. These people need to be reassured (to a point; the rest is up to them) that they are loved and cared about. Your friend's lover is insecure. Hopefully, she'll work through her insecurity.

Well i think everyone gets jealous at one point no matter what...no matter if you are a guy or a girl.....but it can lead to braking up and arguements.....i know for experience and trust me its not a good thing.....i mean everybody has feelings in this world.....it also depends if you jealous for a good reason or for a stupid reason like juss because she is talking to another girl cause she is her friend noa thats stupid cause that only her friend........now if she is talking to her ex-girlfriend and she be all flirting thats a different thing....or if she is talking a girl that she thinks is hot .....personally i get mad and jealous....

everyone gets jealous some of the time. has nothing to do with sexual orientation. my ex was very jealous, though. we had a long distance relationship. and she was a big closet case AND a liar. she trusted pretty much no one, because, as it turned out, she couldn't be trusted herself! I have lots of female friends who are "just friends" and she always interrogated me about all of them....I never cheated on her, but she never trusted me. she was jealous of any time I spent with other women...who were just friends!
thankfully, I now have a partner who is nothing like that.

Jealousy is an insecurity that denotes an underlying emotional deficit with the dysfunctional dynamic of a relationship that is totally divorced from sexuality.

i get jealous. but i am trying to hold it in. i love her but that greened eyed monster comes lurking around at times. ex: one night she told me she was going out with some friends, and i was trying to be mature, than all of a sudden all these stupid thoughts flashed to my head, and i started crying. yes i know i was being stupid. but sometimes jealousy has a mind of its own. I am working on it, because i don't want to lose her. jealousy is not good.
