In the first part, many or most people consider it killing of an innocent human.
In the second part, a woman puts herself at risk of physical harm, emotional harm, and even risks her very life.
When having the baby is a far safer option that doesn't pose nearly as severe risks.
Isn't abortion, then, a great disregard for human life, insomuch as even if you deny the first part, you must still come to terms with the second.

You mix morality with "Pro-choice" rhetoric. I didn't mention that I believe abortion should be illegal. I asked about it morality, and many evaded.
Hey, almost every woman has negative emotional and physical side effects some die even from abortion.

There is more danger in carrying a full term baby then there will every be having an abortion. Do you not read statistics? Blood Clots, Toxemia, Diabetes (gestational), High blood pressure ect ect, that is some of the more significant health issues with pregnancy. Abortion if done by a licensed medical practitioner is a safe procedure.

Many more pregnancies these days are extremely complicated, both for the mother and unborn child. Sometimes it's safer to abort than have the child, but not always.
However you look at it though...it's murder, plain and simple. Killing an unborn child, just because they can't deal with it, afford it, nor want it, is not only irresponsible, it is killing. No matter what stage it is when they do it, it's still a human, who cares if it can feel yet or looks like just a big old blobby mass? Even if there is something wrong with the child and they decide to terminate, they have still made that choice to kill, instead of leaving it God's hands where it belongs. The child may be deformed or spend his life with a disability, but that's when you pray for the strength to handle it all.
You are chosing to terminate someone's life, how could it be considered otherwise? If you believe in God, and that he has a plan for everything, how can you deny Him by breaking a commandment as well as obstructing the plan that he has laid out for you.
Some say it's a matter of choice and a right we have. These same people would disagree with a stranger choosing to exercise his "right" to break into their house and murder them in their sleep. This is considered illegal and murder. The only way abortion differs is that it is done legally.
Everyone has their own thoughts on the matter, and I'm sure you'll have plenty of opinions on both sides. I can see how a woman would not wish to keep a child from rape or incest. I totally sympathize with these women, but still find it morally wrong, with maybe the possible exception of termination for the sake of the mother's life. I guess we'll all find out when it's time to take it up with our maker.

IM FOR ABORTION. I dont think any woman should be forced to give birth, especially if they don't have the right financial support, or care facilities to look after a child. A child shouldnt be brought into the world unless it will be loved, who would want to be brought up as the child that was forced upon the mother? Some people think having an abortion is a selfish act, but is it really? When the child wouldn't be brought up in a caring or loving environment! I found myself in the situation when I foolishly thought I was pregnant. At the age of 16. No person at any age should be forced to have a baby. Especially not if they are still a child. Without abortions being available, there would be more unwanted children in the world. The church story annoys me, I thought that god was all about believing you are a spirit placed in a body, so surely it isnt a life lost? As the spirit would take up another body??? Religion is most peoples reason for saying that people should not even consider abortion, but surely in religion, people should still be able to choose their own paths and not find themselves controlled. RELIGION IS MADE UP TO CONTROL PEOPLE!!! ABORTION SHOULDNT BE CONTROLLED BY ANYONE EXCEPT THE WOMANS DECISION! if it wasnt for abortion, there would be even more disabled children, with conditions that would give them a poor quality of life, who wants to give birth and watch a child grow up with a poor quality of life? Im for abortion, unless a woman is sleeping around without protection and getting an aborton on the NHS all the time...

Well I do deny the first part, and as for the second.....there are no doubt many procedures that have the same risks for physical harm. If the woman in question would suffer that much emotional harm, then I imagine that she wouldn't have the procedure at all.
Since I disagree with your two points, I conclude that abortion is not immoral. Having abortion legal is moral because it offers the freedom of choice. If you are against it, then don't use it. What IS immoral would be taking that freedom from those who need it.
BTW: This is not a question, more like a provocative statement that demands rebuttal.

I would consider the following tests to evaluate the morality of an act:
1. A necessary evil for the majority benefit;
2. Human rights
3. Ethics
Whats the use in keeping a pregnancy if the child will be born with gross disabilty, mental or physical, to an extent it not only becomes a burden on its self but those around it? How about a woman raped who will have to face the torment of baring the child of her attacker and have that child remind her for the rest of her life - what psycholgical effect will it have on her or her husband? What of women who are physically incapble of going through labour due to disease and baring the child would be a death sentence (consider those will acute heart conditions)? Is it okay to bare a child that will probably end up a street kid, are you going to adopt that child? what will be of his life when he grows up? dont you think its partly the reason why the crime rate is escalating?
I hope you see the moral side to my approach on abortion. It has to be for the majority benefit but at the same time respecting human rights (atleast for the majority), and done for ethical reasons.

Some points:
-the world is overcrowded
-unwanted children are not loved as much
-having babies deters/hinders/prohibits many women from bettering themselves (going to college, getting better jobs)
Also, many people think it is absurd that we would give a clump of cells the same rights as human persons
Many women die having children (more than those that die from abortions).
Abortion in the first trimester (and most of the second) is no more a "disregard for human life" than getting liposuction.

How is it moral to kill an animal then? Think of it this way.. Those animals are life. Every animal on the face of this planet has a hell of alot more intelligence than a 3 month old fetus. There is no way for that fetus to survive on it's own.
How about this.. Would this make you happy? All the aborted fetus can be thrown out on the street so they can grow and live on their own since the mother would rather not have the child and you all want to cry about her choice to abort it. Kinda like adoption.

Abortion is not moral. It is the ridiculous philosophy of Moral Relativism that allows it to continue. See http://www.moral-relativism.com
An unborn baby is a living human being, in every scientific sense. Abortion is killing that unborn living human being, and is therefore homicide, by definition. Homicide is against the law in most countries, last time I checked. Exceptions like "health of the mother" and "rape or incest" have NO bearing on whether the unborn child should be allowed to be killed. None of those things change the fact that the unborn baby is a human being. Do we kill other human beings for their organs to save our own lives?...No. Do we kill other human beings for their body parts so that we can replace our own legs or arms lost in a car accident?...No. Do we kill a child because his or her father rapes a neighbor?...No. Do we kill a child because his or her father molests another child?...No. Abortion to save the life or health of the mother, or in the case of rape or incest, is equally as wrong as abortion for the sake of convenience.
It won't be long before abortion lovers will have to accept the inescapable fact that abortion is murder. Then, they will only be left with the pathetic argument for abortion that "a mother has a right to kill her unborn child simply because that child's existence would be displeasing to her." It will at this point be plain to all the pure disdain that they truly have for human life.

Your points are moot. Many activities are harmful and legal and they should stay that way. What business is it of yours, BigPappa, what a woman does at the doctor's office? It's a matter of basic liberty and human rights and most people (however ambivalent their feelings about the "morality" of abortion) want to keep it safe, rare, and legal.
