I was told that the reason they were taken down was because a Rabbi threatened legal action if a menorah was not put up as well. Since the airport workers did not have time to put up a decoration for each and every religious branch, they simply folded and took down the trees. Now the rabbi is appauled and is worried about Christian backlash against the Jewish community for being a "Grinch". What is your opinion on this?

This is our annual gift exchange for 4 couples in their early 30's, men and women. Probably too late to order anything online as the exchange is this Friday....

Any suggestions?

My Friend and I were in a TGIF a couple weeks ago. We have had an ongoing disagreement since. Once our food was served, within 2 minutes, the waitress came and asked us if we would like to make a donation to a cause. (I don't remember the charity) I immediately said no thank you. I proceeded to tell My friend how that annoyed Me. I don't like telemarketing calls at home, I surely did not want to be telemarketed in restaurant where I sat down to enjoy a meal. Had the waitress waited until she presented the bill, I wouldn't have minded so much. I give to alot of charities, I am not cheap or selfish. I found this to be a rude intrusion, what do you think?

Every Christmas, I have to suffer through people calling it a poin-set-a. It is pronounced poin-set-ee-a. It grates my ears when people don't pronounce it right. Hello? There's an "I" in there! It doesn't magically become silent just because you're too damn lazy to pronounce it!

Merry Christmas!

Is it me or does everyone have a different idea on what the "average" size for a woman in the US is? What size are you? I want to see what real, everyday women are instead of what clothing companies or the US govt says we are. I am 5'10 and a size 14.

It appears that Professor Muhammad Yunus with his "Poor Bank" is abusing yahoo answers by posting an advertisement as a question. And many more people are doing the same thing. Is this what yahoo answers is for or should advertising be prohibted?

Or are will be have questions like, "Is Cherrios with it's Heart Health benefits better for you than bacon and eggs?" which are (true) but clearly an advertisement?

Companies already pay people to send out "spam" emails. Will companies start paying people to ask questions on yahoo answers promoting their products?

Is that what you want? If not report the abuse!

I am in college doing a group project with 4 other people. The other people in my group dont come to class half the time, and I keep asking and making suggestions as to who cover what during our presentation. It is a short chapter of a book we have to report on, and I could very easily do it all myself.Should I just write the whole report and do all the talking during the presentation? This counts for 10% of our grade for the course! No one has done any preparation, it is kind of hard when no one comes to class. The professor is quite arrogant and unapproachable.

This guy I work with asked if I would like to have a beer and watch a movie with him sometime. He has no idea I am gay. I didn't tell him I am gay because I am not out at work. I simply told him I was flattered but I don’t date people I work with. Ever since he asked me out I have been obsessing about how I look in front of him, I make excuses to walk past him at his desk and I flirt with him. I even dyed my hair to get his attention. So that he would notice and give me some more attention. Even though I date women now I used to be with men when I was younger. I do find my co-worker attractive but his personality sucks. If I were straight still I would never go out with him. Why am I acting this way? I know that it is wrong for me to lead him on. I guess it just feels good to be desired. I don’t know, what do you think my deal is?
