Is it me or does everyone have a different idea on what the "average" size for a woman in the US is? What size are you? I want to see what real, everyday women are instead of what clothing companies or the US govt says we are. I am 5'10 and a size 14.

5'8 and it really depends on the manufacturer. I can wear things from size 8-12 and mediums to extra larges. I weigh 150 which sounds like a lot especially since I was 114 as a teenager but I still feel like I am on the low side of average for my age which is 55.

It depends on the brand, the orgin!
I wear a size 2-4 tops and 6 (sometimes 8) for the bottom! and I must resize the waist to make it smaller!

There is no average, becasue of the different heights and shapes and weights of people!

Good luck on your analysis!

Regardless of the statistics the governement throws out about the obesity rate raising...clothing manufacturers are still convinced that the average woman is rail thin. Try finding "cute" clothes in the plus size section. Yeah right, they must believe that fat people are only allowed to wear moomoo's.

I am between 11 and 12 and I find myself perfect. The only thing I would change about me is my waist size and that is just for my health and not because of what people think. Your looks and weight are not supposed to be important to people.
