Hey I'm a fundementalist christian. Otherwise known, apparently, as a "fundie". I thought it was such an adorable way to insult me. A derogatory nickname with the word "fun" in it. How cute! So it got me thinking. What are some equally adorable nicknames us christians can call atheists, agnostics or secular humansists? Are jewish folks (God's chosen people) are they "choosies"? Ok any suggestions?

I think secular humansists should be "secs sies". What do you think?

'WHY' the Buddha and Jesus taught their doctrine?

Isn't it to bring people from a state of mental childishness to a state of mental adulthood?

Mental adulthood in Christain = Saints
Mental adulthood in Buddhism=Arahats

Could the two great teachers taught the same doctrine but in different conditions resulting in all the modern day confusion?

If it is the same isn't it logical that the two should collaborate in educating human beings to adulthood?

If after successfully benefiting from both religions then people can called themselves Buddhist-Christians or Christian-Buddhist!

Why do you use gerund form instead of the infinitive?

Sth like this: "I'm looking forward 'to hear' from you soon..."

Why "it's nice to meeting you" instead of "...to meet you"?

Does this questions make sense? I think so...

i'm going through the hardest time right now with my husband.... i have been serving the LORD and believing that GOD, will save my husband... at the same time i know he won't be saved if he doesn't want to be saved.... HE has been lying to me and cheating for the past couple of years.... he told me that he feel in love with someone and thoughs feelings he has for her can't go away... he even confessed to kissing her in front of our 6 year old son, i found out because my son told me.... i found out about so many other women..... what i'm sharing with you is only a small portion of my sorrows... i gave him all my youth and gave him 2 beautiful children... i'm 24 years old, and my husband is supporting me financially... i feel stuck to this man because he is supporting me.... but i'm going to break away from him i can't anymore... all these years of emtional, mental , verbal, and even physical abuse.... i need GOD to guide me, HOW DO THINK GOD IS LOOKING AT MY SITUATION??

We have only been married for five months. He is 41 and I am 39. We were both married once before. He was married 16 years and I was married 18 years. Both of us were cheated on by our former spouses. We did rush into this marriage, I admit...but we were PERFECT for each other, and we really felt like God was blessing our relationship. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, but we have SO MANY disagreements, and so many nights with one of us sleeping on the sofa. He as alluded to a divorce several times in the past five months, but he finally said "I want a divorce" yesterday morning. We are both Christians, and I know a divorce would be wrong. When I told him it was wrong, he said I was trying to make him feel guilty. I love him, and now I love his kids, and I *think* he loves mine. He says he won’t change his mind. He is angry. He says our lives have too much drama, and he can’t take it anymore. We have had “drama” with his ex-wife, with my ex-husband, with his teenage daughter, with my teenage daughter, with my grown son, and with my sister. It has been very stressful, and has given me so much anxiety, but this is no reason to get divorced. He sent me a love note (text message) two days earlier, which said "You are a beautiful woman, inside and out. The greatest wife a man could ever want. Your ability to mother children is untouched by anyone. You give so much love to me & make me feel like a real man. I LOVE YOU! THANKS”. I want to believe that he loves me, and that he is having “temporary insanity”, but I am scared, and I believe that he is truly ready to throw our marriage away. Last night I asked him if he was a man of God, and he said “I guess not.” I can’t believe this. Should I talk to our pastor, or to a counselor, or to an attorney, or all of the above? I don’t know what to do. Please help me. I am praying and fasting. I will not eat until he changes his mind.

as i read all the question and answer in the religion section. I've come to understanding that people are cluless about what are they doing on earth, trying to rationalized everything. Asking is it wrong to do this or that just to find an answer that suit what they want to heart, to suit human ego, lust

One thing i hav discovered in my life is that i might not understand of what happen in life, when i ask the question of life and try to rationalised it, it just makes me more confused.
Nothing compare to have this relationship with Jesus Christ
I must say i question some of the things on the bible. But it doen't change the fact that He IS REAL, and HE IS THERE when nobody IS.
When i come to a question is doing this or that good? i just ask myself is it profitable for me, or is it gonna impact my life later.

My pray that you out there come to a point of relationship with the creator of your life. HE WILL DEFINATELY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION OF LIFES

I keep asking my mother-in-law to NOT send us potted poinsettias anymore. My husband has asked her as well. They are lovely large plants that are very unyielding to carry around to the bathtub to water, I have a terrible green thumb and feel guilty when I can’t keep them alive. Basically, she doesn’t have a clue as to what to send us for the holidays, so, she goes with an old standby. How do I tell her politely that they are more than a nuisance than I care to put up with ? I have told her that I do prefer a bouquet arrangement and I usually send her one with some trinket with it, ie: a candle, teapot or mug. She has told me that she would appreciate it if I were to stop sending the keepsake gift, so I have and only send her the flowers. How can I get her to remember not to send a potted poinsettia ?

i hate it when people tell me that i'm wrong Jesus was never married to Mary Magdalene. and then there is another rumour that Mohammed raped a nine-year old girl named Aisha. all these stupid rumours wont really affect me but i hate it when they ask it all over and over again.
