I'm in the Jesus Army, we put the FUN into fundamentalism! I am quite happy with Jesus Freak as well. As far as nicknames for other groups, this forum shows some of them are rather thin skinned and do not bear insults well. They lack our humour, preferring to dish out what they themselves cannot take. So, here are some tame nicknames, meant for fun, so, please, try not to get offended.
Agnostics:- Shrows for Shroedinger's Cat
Atheists:- Lalas (the sound people make when covering their ears so they cannot hear what other people say)
Secular Humanists:- Whips for Whiplashed Injury (they find it too painful to look at things above them).
Jews:- Mazers - Looking for the right path (hint:- follow the clues in Torah, History, Prophets and Wisdom. It's all there. Start with Isaiah 53 & 54)

about 97% of what Baptists, Methodists and Assemblies of God coach is an identical. i'm not which include Westboro Baptist in that team, they're very particular and unusual case. the three% the position Baptists, Methodists and Assemblies of God disagree are truly minor themes. JWs and Mormons deny the Deity of Jesus and that is a large deal. Catholics coach faith + works and declare you're cursed in case you think in faith on my own. additionally they raise Mary to being the 4th member of the Trinty. So JWs and Mormons and Catholics coach a pretend Gospel. There are about 500 denominations and of those about 60 are good ones. right it is a listing of the coolest ones: properly the link to that record isn't operating as we talk. the coolest churches are those which coach being born back.

I suppose you could call agnostic, Tommies (after the doubting one), or fencies (cos that's what they're sat on) I'm not sure about atheists, I suppose being one means that I'm not in a position to choose one, but i like nonnies (non believers)
But isn't this better, instead of us all shouting at each other and claiming to be right, we can all come together to give each other fluffy nicknames. Ain't it sweet?

It's not necessarily a way to insult someone. Take it as you wish.
And as an atheist, I've been called many "cute" names by fundies.

I am a secular humanist, atheist, agnostic, rationalist - if it's non-believing, you name it, I'm it. I think the word "fundy" is actually less offensive than "fundamentalist christian". If anyone thought I took the bible as historical fact, my intelligence would be highly insulted.

Let's stay away from names. You called it derogatory and an insult - so it wil be one step backwards with any communication.

The skeptic society tried to get people to accept the nickname 'Brights' for skeptics.......but it was too controversial. It tacitly implies that anyone who isn't a bright is a 'Dim'
Mind you many of the religious fundies who I have debated are well deserving of the 'Dim' nomenclature

Any attempt a christian makes to come up with something original usually comes off sounding lame, you're not really famous for thinking for yourselves.
