Jesus IS the reason for the season whether anyone believes it or not. I had a pastor once who said he loved the Christmas season, and he loved going to malls and watching all the hustle and bustle and people running around shopping because he thought it was so amazing that even though many of them didn't realize it, it all happened just because a baby was born 2000 years ago!

Jesus is the reason for the season. He was the ultimate "gift" given to all mankind. We now give gifts as a symbol of our care or love for someone but none could compare to the sacrificial gift given so many years ago.
Have a truly blessed Christmas!

Linus said it best in Charlie Brown:

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Just listen to the words of Christmas songs...all about Jesus. In America I LOVE hearing "mainstream" radio playing Christmas songs and hearing the words "Christ the newborn King" and other songs that praise Him. Can't get anymore clearer than what the season is about than that! :)

I do. So, when certain people say they aren't giving me a gift due to their finances whatever. I still give them a gift. It's all about the giving.
