A friend of mine from work, his car recently died. Both of us live out of town and nowhere near eachother. I have a car and recently he has been asking me for a ride home.
I live about 43 minutes from where I work and driving him home adds an additional 10 - 15 minutes.
After working 8.5 hours all I was to do is get home.
He's a good friend and he gives me money for the ride, but how do I say, keep your money, and go ask someone else - politely?

I am a progressive liberal. I believe in evolution, so I follow it to a T. It is the males job to have as many babies as possible. I have at least 7 children from 5 different women. I don't pay for a one. Is it more important to pay for the child, or just leave it to the woman while I have more children? Also, any ladies in the Chicago area wanna meet up tonight?

think its cool to dress up like neo- drag queens, call themselves emo/punk/rock/alternative and make half-baked lyrics. Jeez, I was just watching MTV and this question popped into my head: where does this come from? when did it get so messed up? Kurt was trend setting, this stuff is just nutz.

A lot of gay guys are extremely popular with the ladies, especially the hot ones, why!? And when I say gay, I'm talking about a very specific kind of gay, the kind that's very feminine.... you know, obviously gay. And I know some would say "oh he's not necessarily gay, he's might just be feminine!" In any case, chicks seem to luuuuuv these kinds of guys.

I've been wondering, why doesn't this work the other way around? I don't see guys jumping over tables to hang around with manly lesbians who act like men. I know most guys wouldn't mind hanging out with hot bi-sexual chicks but they don't count.
By the way I've got nothing against gay ppl, I'm just curious!

I am a progressive liberal. I was feeling a bit lonely tonight, so I thought I would like to have some fun. (Don't laugh or judge me) I had bought a very expensive life size 'love' doll. It had a complicated machine to increase pleasure. While I was using this product, the machinery jammed and trapped my genitals inside. Naturally, the Jews, dont believe Yahweh created Christianty/Islam nor do the Christians believe he created Islam.

So this is an Islamic belief, the belief that a God, they call "allah" created Judaism, then Christianty, then finally settled on Islam.

Suppose this is true, how would you feel about such a God? I mean, he calls a people "the chosen people" or lets them believe that, then changes the whole ball game by sending Jesus to create the worlds largest religion.

Ok, Christians say hes the fullfillment of Jewish prophecy...Jewish doctrine I guess left itself open to that one...but imagine now the stretch Islam has reached.

So, this God knew that his actions would create these religions and they would fight among each other.

Seems illogical to me, I mean, if God is perfect, doesnt he get it right the first time?

Muslims respond by saying "Jews and Christiants corrupted Gods word". Ahh, so God started over and made the perfect being..."the Muslim"...LOL!!!

there is a Christian church that practices marriage by faith, meaning they don't date, they just get married. The brother in the church feels "led" to a certain sister, and then asks for her through the elder. The elder extends the proposal, and the sister prays about it, then accepts it if she also feels it is God's will. I just don't get it. How do they feel they are led to someone?

Science can exist without religion but sadly that doesn't work the other way around.

If it wasn't for technological advances in science I doubt we would have long fruitful lives that we do now.

Please don't say if it wasn't for "god" than we wouldn't even exist. I am not "attacking god" I am "attacking" mainstream religion.

What is the point of religion in the modern world?

People behave not because they are bound to by religion but the fact that society have laws and regulations to punish evil deeds on earth. Not wait for some firery pit to deal with the criminals.

What is the point of religion?

To go to heaven seriously now, I think that is a way humanity tries to make themselves immortal because they can't come to terms with dying.

I'm a progressive liberal and I have finally been freed! Now that we heros are taking back America, which of our nobel works do you guys think we should accomplish first. 1) Raise taxes to provide food/homes/college education to the nobel terrorists. 2) Raise taxes to provide freedom and homes to every single heroic american locked in prison. 3) Open the boarders and allow every person who wants to come here, at the tax payers expense of course, come in and ruin our economy, commit sex crimes without punishment. 4) Create a new budget that will disband any american fighting force (We won't need them now that we aren't starting wars) and use the money to fly our new North Korean and Iranian masters over here first class to do what ever they like!

Scientologists, creationists, evangelicals, baptists. I could go on. In the UK, the majority of people I know (and indeed the country) have no religion.
I think it is because we live in the 21st century. Come on America, wake up and smell the reality of the 21st century.
