there is a Christian church that practices marriage by faith, meaning they don't date, they just get married. The brother in the church feels "led" to a certain sister, and then asks for her through the elder. The elder extends the proposal, and the sister prays about it, then accepts it if she also feels it is God's will. I just don't get it. How do they feel they are led to someone?

Sounds like Islam - no sex, no dating, etc. Of course if a guy is interested in a girl then he talks to her and her parents. He can then spend time with her in public places and they are never alone together (in private). If they find they do not like or cannot get along with each other then it's all over. Each goes their own ways and that is that.

Never heard of that. Sounds like a cult. It's no sex before marriage. No dating before marriage would seem to lead to a quick divorce.
