The world has to be one first before it can have a world leader.
But that would be best decided by the content of our society. I'd look for someone like a old guy out on a boat fishing for Moby Dick.

Well we all know who the worst world leader is ....the ar*ewipe George W Bush! For me the best world leader is the Dalai Lama.

Also the sooner Tony Blair goes the better. What a disaster....fighting a war in Iraq that need not have been fought. Blair and Bush should be tried as war criminals!

Jesus Christ or Gandhi, I wish. Although of course Jesus stated "my kingdom is not of this world." No, I'm not a Christian, but like Gandhi, I do admire Christ. They were both strong and ethical men of peace. The world needs men like that rather than the egotistical, consciousless wheeler dealers who are running us into the grave. As for the Pope or Bush--give me a break!
