Do Americans realise why British people find Donald Trump so funny?

And a building with the nameTrump Towers on it in big letters even funnier?

He is aware of it's comedy value too. Every time the poor guy comes to Britain somebody starts doing jokes about his name. He's got a good sense of humour about it though.

According to a British slang dictionary, "trump" means to break wind, you know, like without a whoopee cushion...

Yeah, the name is pretty funny. I saw a movie/tv show the other day and they showed the sign for Trump Towers and it was then that I realized how funny that name really was.

Americans find him ridiculous, too. We are not so much amused by the Trump Tower as by the man's hair and his arrogance. He has many buildings with his name on it -- further indications of his huge ego.
