I notice that quite a few of the women I end up liking are straight. But before I realize that they are straight, I think that I pick on on Gaydar that they are into me. I am usually wrong. I need to get my Gayday fixed. Also, these are usually situations where I have to see the woman repeatedly. Don't get me wrong, I have no intention in trying to turn a straight woman, if a woman is straight, she is straight, just as I am gay and can't be turned straight. Most of the time, these women never even know that I liked them. I'll find out they're straight before I approach them. But has any lesbian ever been in this situation, and how did you get over it?

Some loser will post an inflammatory question designed to "tear down" your faith tonight. Usually of the following "If Jesus and paul were celibate, does that mean they wanted the whole human race to go extinct?"

Many questions that are derived from ignorance and put forth in derision.

Well, ask me what you will and confuse what you like. The bible says "Seek and ye shall find." Therefore if you look for reasons not to believe, you will find them.

I am happy in my faith and my personal walk with God. I ask nothing from them. So why must they hate faith so much? Why so many random taunts against our faith from those who know nothing of it save the paradoxes answered with prayer?

Why can't you just not believe and go about your business? Why challenge US because you yourself struggle with your non-belief? It's not my business, is it?

I'm happy with God.

I've read that if you dream in color, it's a sign that you are astral projecting at night, whereas black and white is just a plain dream. I have NEVER had a dream in B&W. Always FULL color.... VERY vivid and VERY realistic.....I wake up many nights covered in sweat because they are so realistic. Just looking for some sources to gain some information on dreams....

first of all, I'm a christian. I know that putting your faith in Christ, and accepting him as your personal savior is how you get to heaven. But do you have to repent for every sin that you commit everytime you sin? even the ones that you aren't aware that you committed. Or say that there are sins that you can't seem to break the habit of doing. Like, say that on your deathbed you somehow sin and die right after that. Does that mean that you're going to hell? I appreciate everyone who takes the time to answer. Thanks.

I assume you have all read the Book of Revelations. How will you explain away the millions of people who will disappear during the Rapture? How will you explain away the mark of the beast,666?How will you explain away the 7 year tribulation period and all that will happen during that time? All these things were prophesied and written about over 2000 years ago,and will soon come to pass.
I don't want answers like"This won't happen so I don't have to worry about it." I know you don't believe it all to be true, but just keep an open mind for a bit,and give me an honest answer. When all the things written in the Book of Revelations happens, will that finally convince you that God does exist, and if not,how will you explain it?

Me and my boyfriend are going out to eat for his birthday at a moderately priced restaurant (roughly 60 dollars for 2 people). We want his family members to join us, about 12 or so people, but were students and obviously cannot afford to pay for them as well. Do we put in their invitations that theyre expected to pay? That seems...bad.....If so, how would we word this? If not, whats the alternative?

If they're "crazy", is heckling appropriate and likely to accomplish anything useful?

If they're not "crazy", is heckling appropriate and likely to accomplish anything useful?

Isn't it better to rationally, calmy, explain your position without the need for personal invective and insult? Don't you accomplish more that way?

I am interested to know how you would feel if you just found out at age 52 that you were of First Nations ancestry I was adopted and have been told all my life that I am English. I have very fair skin and passed easily as a white person. I have known in my heart and soul that I was First Nations for a very long time, but recently have had it confirmed by a search for by biological parents. I was fortunate to get their names through researching my adoption and Vital Statics. Both my adopted partents are in the spirit world now so I can ask them WHY they never told me. Don't get me wrong I am very PROUD to be who I am. It was hard for all those years not knowng who I was and where I belonged. Do you think it was right to keep my ancestry from me ????

That sounds weird, but i mean, if they are doing it for the animals, the only way it will make a difference is if the demand for meat goes down, and the supply will soon follow. And I dont mean all of them, some do protest and everything.

Say by flushing their holy books? http://flushaholybook.com
Or drawing funny pictures of their prophets.
Or wiping our asses with the pages of their scriptures (then flush em)

The thing is we must be free to criticise one another, and disrespecting each others symbols is one way to remove their aura of holyness. We shouln'd bomb each other, or murder people, but flushing holy books? that's okay right?

In my last question, I asked Christians if God had a plan for everything, if he chose when we are born and when we die. In "A Purpose Driven Life" there is this statement: "He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death." This "plan" is also mentioned in Psalm 139:16. Here are my questions if this "plan" is true:
1. Does God plan all abortions? Since he plans all births and deaths, this means he wants the abortion to take place, and the mother and doctor are merely puppets in God's plan.

2. Does God plan murders? God chooses the exact time of death, so that means he planned the murder. Again, a murderer would simply be a puppet in his plan.

3. Why do people pray requesting things? If you pray for something, (better job, good health, etc.), and it is not in his plan, why bother? If it is in his plan, won't it happen without your asking. The last thing God needs is a human interfering.

Thanks for input. No bashing is intended here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the purspose of asking a question on here is to get an answer. An blind opinion of a person should only be posted if it is asked for. Why post an opinion and not answer a legit question. It's not yahoo Opinions. Forgive me if I offend you, but don't give me your opinion of me and I didn't ask for it, be mature and answer the damn question or move on.

I realize there is a lot of heckling from all sides of the athiest-theist spectrum. But Christianity sets a high standard for Christian behaviour, including no heckling.

Certainly it would be atrocious behaviour to heckle someone who is -not- sane. Laughing at another's illness makes no sense except to the very sadistic amongst us.

But for Christians to heckle a sane person who rejects your faith...does not appear very Christ-like.

So why is there so much of it here at Y!A R&S?
