66% Of the world is NOT Christian. Does that mean 66% of the world is going to hell?

Currently, 33% of the worlds population are Christian, 21% practice Islam, 14% practice Hinduism, 6% Practice buddhism, and less than 1% practice Judaism. There are 22 recognized religions with over 500,000 members.

16% of the worlds population practice "No" formal religion.

So I ask, which religion has it right? Which "God" is the real god?

We are going on our annual camping trip with my college friends. It is me and my girlfriend and 7 of my guy friends (two of them are bringing thier girlfriends: so total of 8 guys and 3 girls). This year they booked the trip to a nude beach. My girlfriend and I have never been to a nude beach before. I am fine with it but I have yet to ask her. Before I bring up the subject to her I want to see of any of you ladies would go.

So would you go to a nude beach where you would be one of 3 girls with 8 guys? All the guys will be getting nude for sure but the girls may or may not and my girlfriend does't have to. But she will see all of them nude whether or not she joins in. Would you go?

The reasoning on this site is not good. Spilling blood on the battle field or hating others is getting worse by so called Christians. One clergy wrote me to say he believes in the sword and the cross....must have his own version of the scriptures...bloodguilt is very serious and should not be taken lightly. Why would anyone profess love with a sword in the hand? Fight for faith not blood...wow what is happenning to these professed believers

Has anyone else noticed a correlation between being religious and looking good? It seems like the religious on average are more attractive than those who aren't religious. I have some theories on this, but I'd like to hear what others think. I'm not going to say if I am religious or not because that gives biased answers.

I'm doing a paper on Bogota, and I need to know how to say "as of 2006"

"Es un distrito metropolitano, y tiene 7,321,831 habitantes ________"

Any other little tidbits about Bogata in spanish would really help, too. =]

Seriously, what if I don't give two sh*ts what a two thousand year old book written by a bunch of town crazies says? I mean, really! Gay marriage, abortion; you name it and the US has a law against it based on Christianity. Some of this is rather obvious (sodomy illegal in 48 states? wtf). I thought that this country was suppossed to be founded on religious freedom, not Christianity.

Oh, and don't give me that "How come you atheists care about the bible if it doesn't concern you?" crap either. Because...
1. The Socratic method is for weak-mined dumbasses who can't answer a question without trying to weasel out of the subject.
2. It_does_"concern" us. Laws are based on this junk, Bush gained votes during the 2004 election because of his religious stance on certain topics, and not to mention that atheists/agnostics/anyone who doesn't worship the Christian god are put down in society, the workplace, etc.

......

I'll add on to this if I get any feedback from Y! Answers users.

Christianity is a religion and Buddhism is more of a philosophy. I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I hear that it is possible to be both, but how does that work, if it does at all? Give me your personal views I won't take any answers offensively. Thanks for your time.

"Man has three qualities: sathwa (purity, serenity), rajas (passion, excitedness), and thamas (indolence, inertia). We have to preserve the sathwic quality. A person of evil thoughts will see evil everywhere. A person of good thoughts will see good everywhere. However, a person with no thoughts at all will become a full man. That person is eternal and peaceful.

A cloth is made of threads woven into warp and woof. From where did the thread called karmaphala (the fruit of one's actions) come? It has come from the cotton of janmanthara samskaras (the vasanas or tendencies acquired from several previous births). A thread is made out of cotton and woven into a cloth. And that cloth is worn by us. The cloth called the human body that we are wearing is a gift of God."
