Jesus did not kill anyone. Jesus says if you take up the sword you will die by the sword. Those so called believers fall under this scripture...
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

SANTA S -- are u a psychic by any chance? stop jumping to conclusions when somebodyasks a question on Bible & Christ -- there are many atheists out here too. and as far as Muhammed-pbuh is concerned. may be u never came across this.
Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship and the Heroic in History,' 1840
"The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad(saaw) are disgraceful to ourselves only." "A silent great soul, one of those who cannot but be earnest. He was to kindle the world, the world’s Maker had ordered so."
Mahatma Gandhi, a statement published in 'Young India,'1924.
"I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind.... I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet(saaw), the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life."

Marty K, you are funny! As for the question... I don't know why that clery person would tell you that. Ten people could read a scripture and come up with ten different interpretations of it. Especially if they take it out of context. I myself am a Christian and yet support the death penalty when it comes to child predator / killers. Some don't agree with this. But that is why God did not leave it to me to be the savior of mankind.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the Life.

Being a Christian has never been easy through out history. Christians have always been presented with challenges to their faith and more than often fail. I believe it is all of our responsibility to help each other keep the faith and stay strong in what we believe in.
We both know that Jesus killed no one. We also know that non of us are perfect in following the words of Jesus. But that is no excuse for not trying our hardest (and helping others to do the same) in keeping faith in Jesus and practicing his teachings.

The Sword and the cross, eh?
Read it in your Bible. It's right there!
The cross signifies personal sacrifice, a basic Christian tenet.
The sword is the sword of the spirit. as mentioned in Ephesians 6. The sword is the Word of God, and it's the only offensive weapon we are to take when putting on the full armor of God.

It seems everyone is getting more militant these days.
Not that I agree with violence, but I do understand why many Christians are getting defensive and "up-in-arms".
Simply put, they are getting very tired of being mocked, persecuted, and flamed. Just a quick glance at the questions and answers in the Religion section here should tell you that. I have personally had many bad experiences because I stood up for my Christian beliefs.
So while it may not be Christlike to be hostile, it is human nature.

Jesus didn't kill any of the Roman soldiers.
The word of God acts like a sword. It will either cut the sin from your life, or it will condemn you. But Jesus told us not to take up arms to defend our faith, but to patiently endure all difficulties and persecutions. "Love your enemies..."

but are you better?
Jesus didn't kill anybody and that is the truth.
That some people on his name are spilling blood is also tru, but you ? do you think you are better ? read what you have been writing ! would Muhammad how was believer on Jesus, like that ? and do you think you are a good Muslim?
The first structure of Islam is respect.
Their are some how like you to behave the way that you are doing, but their is no point in being like them other then you are one of them.
