I'm doing a paper on Bogota, and I need to know how to say "as of 2006"
"Es un distrito metropolitano, y tiene 7,321,831 habitantes ________"
Any other little tidbits about Bogata in spanish would really help, too. =]

According to the Cambridge Leaners dictionary "as of" means: starting from a particular time or date:
As of next month, all the airline's fares will be going up.
Therefore, the proper translation woul be:
"A patrir (as of) del 2006 es un distrito metropolitano, y tiene..."

I'd put "Es un distrito metropolitano, y tiene 7,321,831 habitantes (2006)" or "Es un distrito metropolitano con 7,321,831 habitantes en el año 2006"

Es muy peligrosa, te secuestran por 100 dolares, y nunca preguntes donde queda "El Cartucho" porque el taxista te va a pedir que te bajes inmediatamente
