As if the straight world was so spiritually full! Filling the spiritual void is an ellusive goal for most people no matter which side of the coin they are on. Drink, drugs, and sex are common efforts by all. We also have expectations and personal valuations that are in the way--God won't want me, so I don't want Him, or I don't measure up so it is pointless to pursue Him. We have these hang-ups, if it isn't tangible then it isn't true. I love that old line from the song, "I swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell." So we tell ourselves there's no need and then tell ourselves again because we didn't believe it the previous time. Thanks.

I don't know about spiritually empty, maybe religiously empty and I prefer it that way. The religions don't support my view of divinity, but I am very spiritual, thank you very much. What you presume to be true and what IS true are two different things sweetie, and your presumption's make you look extremely unintelligent. Don't make generalized statements about a group of people that you know nothing about, you seem narrow minded and ill informed. Furthermore, all people lie to themselves about some thing or another, but I'm not at all disillusioned about my spirituality or my happiness, so go suck yourself heifer......

ya know, I am torn between answering your question honestly and just reporting you for being a hater. I decided that it is time for me to tell you the truth and to let all people know the truth. God will judge us when we die, Christians as well as myself believe that we have some entity that will plead our case to God for our eternal life salvation. Christ is truth and the light. To look at truth and the light and not look away is the true test. If you can honestly look at your life, repent for your misdeads, and accept yourself you will not look away from the truth or the light. Being gay has been the biggest challenge I have ever had. To accept that I am gay which is to accept truth and that an eternal light is within me means that I can look at God and say. I know I am not perfect. I know I hurt my mom and dad, I hurt many people and I am truely sorry that I hurt them. It does not change who I am or what I did, all it says is that I am truely sorry. To accept yourself, knowing that God and society hate you, makes you perfect in Gods eyes. God is like your parent. They dont always approve, but they always love you and no matter what you do they always will. Accepting responsibility for who you are and not looking away from the truth or the light, will lead you towards happiness.
So for all yall that need shorthand. Being gay is the biggest test and the last test of acceptance before you gain eternal happiness. Why would the evil forces on earth work so hard to make you look away from the truth. Because you are so close to happiness.
Please accept each other, love each other, and never fear the truth and when it is your time you will be able to look into the light and see love.

i have seen your posts now for the past day or two all over this forum and i am concerned that there may be something psychologically wrong with you. why do you insist on posting such "controversial" questions in this forum. clearly, you have some sort of unhealthy fixation with trying to make "the gays" miserable. it's really quite odd. where does your hatred stem from? what did your parents teach you as child? not there very much? did daddy leave mommy for another man? i mean really!!! what is your mental psychosis. i think everyone sees right through to your bitter core and i can't imagine what you are like in the company of friends since this is clearly one of your favorite past times. but something tells me you don't have many friends. anyhow, i think i'd like to answer your question regardless:
I think most gays are liberated from the religious brainwashing that most of you venomous hatred spewing folks were privy to. I think gays think for themselves. I think gays have learned over time to question everything. I think gays realize that their parents are not these infallible beings. Yes, there are a lot of unhappy gay people. But there is an equal amount of spirtually empty unhappy straight people. You are most likely one of them. Broad sweeping generalizations are for children. Not for anyone who has the brain capacity to operate a computer and find their way to Yahoo! Answers.
Really. Seek therapy. You are clearly obsessed with gay people with only suggests that you may very well be dealing with some gay feelings of your own. You don't have to hate them for it dear. You don't have to hate yourself.

I'm really happy and spiritually fufilled. I have a wonderful partner, a great family, a loving spiritual community, wonderful ancestors that watch over me, and a religion that is super great - Paganism. I suggest that you try it, it is a lot more work then Christianity, but you get so much more back.

Another "Amazing Kreskin." You don't know the first thing about the spirituality of gays, or how happy they are. Stop making assumptions about something that you know next to nothing about. Here's another thought - stop telling lies about gay people. You're living in an extremely fragile glass house.

Who says that?
If they are it is because the church of their choice will not let them in as they are believed to be sinners already and not worthy of the chance for redemption.
But they can still be SPIRITUAL and RELIGIOUS by practicing the religion on their own from reading and praying at home as some of our ancestors had to do because they lived to far away from the nearest church to attend every week.

When I was absent on long leave my beloved partner died of a virulent rapid cancer. You sound very much like one of her family that claimed her remains and buried them in a private plot under a stone bearing "UNKNOWN TO GOD". Quite right you say. I nearly hit one of the relatives who warned me to stay away from the cemetery. Had I struck them, another grave would have been needed. Had you been there, you could thank your god you are still alive because some "spirit" beyond reason stopped me.from killing.

This is definitely one of the most ignorant, prejudice questions that I have read on this site. How do you know what anyone else feels? Why are you so unhappy with yourself and your own life that you have to degrade others to make yourself feel better? Seems to me that you are the one who is spiritually empty.
