I'm looking for the name of an old fairytale I read in a collection a while ago, about a girl who has to sew her brothers shirts made out of thistles... I think it might be Irish, but it could also be French or German? Thanks

I think it's something ot do with swans. White swans, swan princess. The brothers were turned to swans and the thistle shirts were the only thing that could turn them back and she could not speak during the time she was making the shirts. Then she marrys a prince (as all fairy stories do.)

It is where the brothers had been turned into swans and she has x amount of years to make the shirts and may not speak. I know the story just can't think of the name.

It is called The Wild Swans. I just went and looked it up in one of my books.
