That sounds weird, but i mean, if they are doing it for the animals, the only way it will make a difference is if the demand for meat goes down, and the supply will soon follow. And I dont mean all of them, some do protest and everything.

haha people have huge sticks up their @sses on here. some people are HELLA into it, like my friend that's in PETA and some people will never turn vegetarian, like my gf for example. Everyone has their own opinion on it, just like they would on any other matter, and if at any time a group of people get into somethiong there will be another group bashing you lol. people are lame. but anyway me, personally i eat meat, but i'd someday like to be vegetarian, yes for the sake of a few animals, but mostly for my own health. so that's my thought on it.

I can't begin to tell you how damn many of my friends who are Vegans or vegetarians have tried to impose their standards on me. It's gotten to the point where, when they do it when I'm trying to eat what I want, I'm almost ready to mash it in their face. I've always let people eat whatever they want, but it seems the vegetarians I know all act like Nazis to anyone who doesn't share their viewpoint.
I will never forget attending a convention with a bunch of vegetarians. This one old lady approached me, telling about how great her vegan diet was. I asked how old she was I was stunned when she said, 32. She looked about 65! And it wasn't a GOOD look, either. And I've met many others who look the same.
Vegetarianism can be healthful for some, and I'm a good enough cook to accomodate my vegetarian friends when they're at my place. But many of them do it improperly, without the proper balances of food, and end-up ruining their bodies due to malnutrition.

I've known lot's of vegans/vegetarians who have been very pushy about not eating meat and how it's wrong. But I believe if the person respects your wishes they won't pressure you.
To the person who doesn't eat meat, dairy, etc. to them.. they know they're making a difference even if the whole world isn't following in their foot steps. You can't change everyone/

What about the poor vegies!! You know how many vegetables had to die for your lousy salad???
That's the way earth and human beings were created. We were created as omnivores- eating both plants AND meat. If you simply don't like the way meat tastes, should you forcefully eat it? No, of course not. But if you do, you shouldnt deprive yourself of it, just because "the animals are dying". What if snakes ate only plants? What if tigers, lions, wolves and all other carnivorous animals suddenly "converted" to vegitarians? What would happen to the earth? You are clearly not thinking. Stop destructing food webs. Please.

Most vegetarians that I know have tried to convert me at one time or another. Once they realize I'm not gonna stop eating meat, they leave it alone and respect my choice, just the same as I respect theirs.

The vegans that I know don't try to convert people because it's their own "thing". They do it because they see the health benefit in staying away from meat, not because they don't believe in killing animals. <*)))><

It's not a religion. It is a food preference.
What is YOUR favorite food? Why don't you go around trying to get more people to eat it?
What a stupid question!
