When I say this is for Christians only, I am serious. I will tolerate no insults or shenanigans, my lovelies! If you want to insult me you can go my last question :)

Okay...

Is it a sin to:

Masturbate?
Stop being so NICE all the time?
Be a feminist?
Focus on making yourself happy?
Dislike church?
Be an out-spoken, opinionated woman?

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your educated Christian opinions!

Forgive us Lord and heal our land, and give us eyes to seek your face and hearts to understand that you alone make all things new, and the blessings from the land we love are really gifts from you.
If my pepole will humbly pray and seek my face and turn away from all their wicked ways, then I will hear them and move my hand. Freely, then, will I forgive and I will heal their land. I will make all things new.

I have found that There exists no evidence that the New Testament came from the purported original apostles or anyone else that had seen the alleged Jesus. Although the oldest surviving Christian texts came from Paul, he had never seen the earthly Jesus. He only claims that he saw the "spirit" of Jesus? There occurs nothing in Paul's letters that either hints at the existence of the Gospels or even of a need for such memoirs of Jesus Christ.

The oldest copy of the New Testament yet found consists of a tiny fragment from the Gospel of John. Scholars dated the little flake of papyrus from the period style of its handwriting to around the first half of the 2nd century C.E.

If this is true, then this puts my faith in serious doubt. I mean these guys could have just made things up!

If you grew up without a father or you had a horrible one..I know how you feel, I know the missing piece in your life, that big empty hole. Mine was an abusive drunk beyond belief. If this is you I want to share what I've learned with you. You can be the parent your father never was, you give them what we never got, lavish them in love without hesitation, never allow a day to go by without hugging them and making them feel how loved and cherished they are. Give to them what we wanted so badly but never got...see we know how because we remember what we wanted..use the pain to your advantage. I know the fear of having children...let me say I've had 3 children and they walked in love everyday, I bathed them in love and affection..there was never a day they didn't walk in love..EVER! I simply gave them what I wanted so badly when I was growing up...it's not that bad things happened to us..it's OUR reaction to it that counts..love them without ceasing!

Sorry so long!

Do you agree?

You don't know what he's like. He used to be an angel right? So he must have some good in him. He tempts you to do crazy fun reckless exciting sinful things in this life. What makes you think that if you end up in hell he won't turn you loose and go "Hey, have fun..."

I know the bible description of hell, I want to see the Lucifer description that has alcohol, drinking, sex in the streets, and so on.

I caught my ex cheating on me in the bed we had shared. We dated for a few years. He really tore me apart. I dont think he truly knows how bad it hurt seeing him naked on top of her. Do you believe in Karma? and good things happen to those who wait?

I mean if you get sick, you take medicine... you cling to life like it is all there is, yet if you die there is some place SO much more wonderful to go to. Why don't you just let it go. Be less careful. Don't look both ways when crossing the street, close your eyes and walk and if its your time, God will take you. If not, he will let you by right?

You should be in a hurry to get some place that awesome.

I was standing in line at the gas station in the relatively small town my parents live in and this cowboy comes in and cuts infront of everyone waiting and starts in on the guy of apparent Indian descent working the counter about how to pay for his gas. After fumbling out some words about how he can't manage to work the pump and 'where do I pay?' and 'do I have to come back inside to get change?' He then walks away, turns to us as he's doing so and says ''Press 1 for english'' and starts laughing like a redneck idiot. The worst is that the cashier spoke perfect english and the cowboy was about as eloquent as a gorilla. Anyway, those of us in line exchanged a confused glance and said sorry to the cashier but man I wish I could have said something to that guy. Have you ever had something like that happen when you managed to say something witty that put them in their place?

Why do some people insist that the slavery of the Bible is the same as slavery that went on in the U.S.?

Matthew 10:24-25 is interesting: "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master." In this case the slave is likened to an apprentice. Matthew 18:26 shows a slave claiming to be able to repay a debt...something that true slaves would be unlikely to do. They probably wouldn't be in debt unless they made money, and wouldn't be able to repay a debt without income, either. The same passage shows that slaves had the freedom to roam about. Matthew 24 shows that slaves weren't simple laborers, but were often put in charge of a master's entire household. Matthew 25 speaks of throwing out a worthless slave...suggesting that it was the slave who lost the benefit of the relationship, not the master.

Lord, I lift Your name on high
Lord, I love to sing Your praises
I'm so glad You're in my life
I'm so glad You came to save us

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
