I think that th christians and catholics who think that being gay is wrong should be more concerned about their perverted priests that molest little childeren- That is very wrong... What do you think???

First you have to decide if you want to ask Christians or if you want to ask Catholics. These are two mutually exclusive groups.

Catholics have priests they call father, but they're really just men.

Christians have one High Priest, and that's Jesus who is now sitting at the right hand of God, our kinsman redeemer, the mediator between God and man.

If you're asking Catholics, I agree, perverted "priests" molesting little children is very wrong.

If you're asking Christians, our Priest doesn't molest little children, and yes, we think being gay is wrong because the Bible says it's wrong.

The Bible is the only way to know right from wrong. The Bible also says in Prov 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. KJV

So we need the Bible, otherwise we would choose a way that seems right, but would end in death.

Maybe that's why Jesus calls his followers "sheep". If it weren't for the Shepard of our souls, we'd get shredded by predators, some even wearing priest's clothing.

First of all, are you really concerned about children who are sexually molested by the 2/3 of one percent of priests who are molesters?

Or is that just something you're using as an attention-deflection tactic, in order to take our focus off the real sin of homosexuality?

Second, you're misinformed with regard to the Catholic Church's teachings on homosexuality.

The Church teaches that a homosexual orientation is morally neutral. Thus, it's not quite true (as you say) that the Church "thinks being gay is wrong."

The Church doesn't think that BEING gay is wrong. It teaches that ACTING gay is wrong.

The Church doesn't declare a homosexual ORIENTATION as being sinful. It simply declares homosexual BEHAVIOR as sinful.

For no reason should the Church surrender its moral teachings on homosexuality (or on any other topic) because of the tiny percentage of its priests who have sexually abused children -- mostly in the past, not the present.

Otherwise, we would have to remove the public education's authority to educate our children -- because teachers and other public-school staffers have a much more horrendous record of sexually abusing kids than the Catholic priesthood does.

Thank you for the thoughtful, yet difficult question. I would agree that priests molesting teens is a very dire problem. I am certainly gravely concerned about ANYONE molesting ANYONE. I would contend the situation has ben dealt with effectively. I would suggest, had homosexuals not been permitted to become priests, you would never have heard of a single case.

Well, yes, those 'perverted' priests do their evil deeds because they are homosexual.

Homosexuals are extremely perverted, not just because they are so confused by the fundamental purposes of the male and female, but by their overt and covert behavior in seducing and recruiting young people, often underage.

I think you have pointed out just exactly what is bad about homosexuals. You have shown that even a priest, when afflicted with homosexual tendencies, becomes a horrible example of human depravity.

The average Catholic is more concerned about abusive priests than they are about homosexuals. They agree with you that abusive priests are very wrong. Don't forget that it was our children who were abused.

In addition, the Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
