Notice the different attitudes to such a question. Thanks very much to the few who responded properly.

Does the Bush administration count?

I think what you mean to ask is; are there any organizations around that provide a social setting, but leave the religion out. Somewhat along those lines are the Humanist's groups and organization's, that are loosely comprised of Deist's, Agnostic's, Secular Humanist's, moderate Christian's, etc, as well as a sprinkling of Atheist's (though they tend to like the outright atheist groups).

Here's a link, and if you look at the bottom of the page it list's various Humanist's organization's. Then if you are at all interested, look for local groups, they would have social event's and regular meeting times as church's do, only they are organized around liberty FROM religion and value "free- thinking".

If you are talking Christian there are not any I know ,that are organized, They all start with free thought and go Dog Dogma to get the support of the members. I been looking for years tried so many I can't count. finally decided I could Worship alone. the Organized religions would call me a heretic, that's OK they called Jesus that also. God Bless

What would be the point? Seriously - not being mean - but why not just join the Rotary club? You would still get some personal interaction with other people and you'd be able to serve your fellow man but not in a church setting and with no religious influence.

The Unitarians are supposedly spiritual but not religious. I've noticed that "sermon" content varies quite a bit from one local organization to another.

You can see a lot of the "sermons" online to decide whether or not the Unitarians are "non-religious" in the sense that you mean it.

I thought of the Lion's club, but no. They do religious stuff. It's hard to get away from religion, if, by religion, you mean trying to be good. Unless you want to consider true christianity, which is acknowledging that no-one is truly good, and we all need God's help.

Unitarian Universalists is a church that doesn't promote a particular religious agenda...they are kinda like secular humanists, only with a church setting.

planned parenthood isn't for abortion yet they're for the guy to get scientific care. in case you already know the historical past of abortion you will understand human beings have continually had abortions. the subject is do they could desire to do it themselves or have they have been given a Dr. to try this in a safer way.
