Greed is a funny thing. Self-satisfaction unfortunately speaks louder than the subconscious and when we only listen to what we want, we rarely get what we need. Some people will do anything for a high, or a buck, or a lay... without thinking first of the consequences. They just want satisfaction NOW - forget what tomorrow holds.

you know you are going to regret something before you even do it....so, I really couldn't tell you the answer to that....stupidity, maybe. Just because a decision you make turns out to be wrong, doesn't mean you should regret it....it just means you (hopefully) have learned a lesson....i personally, have never done anything that I regret...made some bad decisions...but no regrets

because we live and learn....some of us are adventurous and that can be a problem if we are not prepared and/or choose dangerous acts.
just be mindful of what the outcome could be and try to think a few steps ahead.
but don't let guilt get you down, everyone makes mistakes.
if an apology is required, do it. face up to the situation and sometimes you come out better for what happened, even if it seemed horrible at the time.

It is the mistakes that we make in life as well as the right choices that make up the sum of what and who we become. Making mistakes is human. Learning from them is the goal we should all strive for.
