Lord, I lift Your name on high
Lord, I love to sing Your praises
I'm so glad You're in my life
I'm so glad You came to save us

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Well, I'm not a huggy person. And if I'm in a situation where the question is whether to condemn or hug, I'd lean more toward the condemning. I don't like hugging strangers. Even if they don't smell, you don't know much about their hygiene at this point.

But really, I wouldn't condemn off the bat either. I would prefer my choices to be Suspend Judgment or Hug.

because people are inherently sinful. it's harder to do the right thing. we're born that way. the entire point of this hymn is to drive home that God is perfect and man needs saving. God will be there for you if you believe what he promised. "Just as i am, Thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; Because Thy promise i believe." If man suddenly became perfect, we would no longer need God or his saving.

In your pursuit to happiness you will find knowledge and wisdom and one that will approach you in a way that is unfavorable, but he that touches your soul with a wand of happiness is thee one to find sanction within and your poetry is one way of venting yourself and I can clearly see you are one that is very frustrated and why I am not sure, but your looking for answers to surprise and maybe your surprise is a type letter away/

Why would I condemn?
Lets see if my son died to save a bunch of peoples lives and they rejected him???
Be glad I am not God. God takes you as your are, but he doesn't leave you that way. to do so would no be to love you as he does.

This is a beautiful song,
It should be all of our plea.
O Lamb of God I come.

We should seek to embrace others in the same way that Jesus embraced people - with unconditional love.

Yes - a good question.
