Should I change my icon to Depp or Bloom or something to get people to notice? :P

Thanks for the opinion, EnlightenedOne. However, since I'm married, I doubt the wife would appreciate the girlfriend. :P (And eating isn't the problem..it's all the alcohol that I'm forced to drink. lol).

Depp would definitely get you in quicker with the tweens, teens, twenty-somethings and desperate housewives. LOL

I do believe that most of your questions actually require thought and effort on the part of the answerer, and let's face it... the majority of people on Yahoo! Answers don't really give a crap about the things we do, so they're not gonna touch your questions with a ten-foot pole.

And check out the answers to THIS question... a lot of people assumed that since you used the word 'esoteric,' you're being cocky and conceited, flaunting your vocabulary... blah, blah, blah. I wonder how many responders fully grasp the meaning of the word? Not many, obviously... as it seems they've taken offense to the fact that you used a '50-cent' word just because they don't know what it means... LOL

Yes, most of your questions are esoteric... but wouldn't you rather have a couple of quality answers than a bunch of rambly crap from people who spend their time questioning others about whether or not they pick their nose when no one's looking? :p

I think its because your a little narcissistic. You come off that way even when your writing questions. I'm sure you probably have trouble with women too. My suggestion is to stop eating so much, work out and find a girlfriend. From there everything will come your way, even answers to questions with esoteric in them. (Esoteric is the #3 word most used by people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.)

I checked out your questions and they aren't really esoteric, nor above understanding at all. They do, however, appeal to a small percentage of the population. I saw questions about pipe smoking, porn, lawyers, single women...If you want tons of answers, for whatever reason, perhaps you should consider asking more general questions. That's just IMO, of course.

Your questions are not esoteric, they are just kind of "I was bored" questions. I mean, they don't look like you really need an answer or you are looking for some info someone else has.

Absent an example, I can't say. Timing may be an issue -- not everyone of erudition is on at any particular time, and it does not take long for a question to get buried in the mass of other questions.

You just ask questions about topics that most people really don't care about. There you go, you got an answer!

Plus, you come off pretty pretentious. Hey, but maybe you are.

Your last question was "Favorite movie music / soundtrack / score composer?" That doesn't seem very esoteric to me.

Yes. You are missing your target audience in this forum.

Now, ask a brainless inquiry about who is "hotter", or what you should have for your evening repast, and you shall reap countless responses.

Are you one of them pointy-headed, ivory tower, New York Times-readin', Hillary-votin' Jews?
