Psychology - January 2007

I never had a clear destination of what I wanted to be. Even as a kid, I never said I want to be such and such when I grow up. Is this normal? I had everyone telling me what they wanted me to be and suggesting. When will I know that I am on the right path for me?

When I get hired i get all excited and and cant wait to start working.

I start the job and enjoy the beginning, learning how things work, learning the routine, meeting new people, etc.

Then after that initial buzz is over, i get tired of working, my work slacks, i fall behind, i become disorganized, then i leave abruptly leaving everything in shambles.

Then i am unemployed and depressed for a time frame, then a find a new job ...usually lying to in order to "fill the gaps", then the whole process starts over and over

Any ideas?

I know it's a good thing, but why do people gravitate towards some people, what I mean, is people will find themselves comfortable around me, and talk to me, strike up a conversation,I mean I love it but I notice that everyone don't encounter that as often.Some people complain how it is hard to meet people and so on..Anyone have an explanation why some people gravitate some people rather than others?

Ever since I was little I would refuse to drink out of a pop or straw that had a mouth on it, even from my own mom. I refuse to eat anything that was sitting outside without me seeing it [ in the summber because i fear bugs will get on it] so I waste alot of food. Is this some sort of phobia or something?? I dunno but it drives me insane when I think something is dirty!

really depressed and not sure how to bounce back. I don't feel like I need anti depressants, I took them for about 1/2 a year and I didn't notice a difference. I guess I am still mourning, and I can't seem to move on. Any advice?

I had a dream that I was pregnant when I was 15...

I'm 14

The dream was so vivid, I can still remember it- most dreams I don't even care about, or the ones that I do care about, I forget in 2 hours.

I would go into details, but I'd rather not.

All I can say is, the dream was revolved around me giving birth to a boy.

I'm in this "relationship" I suppose I can call it, with someone who lives across my country, and she loves me, and I'm pretty sure I love her, but it is SO hard, and it hurts me so much to have to be in one this way. We're still young, and it's obvious she's used to being the "bachelor" and being free to be with whomever, because she's never been in a relationship for too long, and this has gone longer than either of us expected. Even when I move out there for school, we still won't see each other very much. I don't want to hurt her, because she's been hurt enough, but I can't help but wonder, is love enough to make something like this work, if you're not sure you want it to? Is it just better to follow your heart?

My biology teacher has his little catch phrase "you forget 50% in 7 seconds" in order to get us to remember things faster. This is how I have perceived it, but is it really true? He says he learned it while he was in college but he doesn't seem too smart of a fellow so he might just be tricking us.

I'm 18 and have been seeing a 28 year old for a while but I'm wondering if there's some deep underlying baggage waiting to get out. I could see the reasoning of a 50 year old going for a 20 something for his vigor, etc., but most men at 28 are still virile. I know I'm a good catch and I'm not insecure but she has a consistent history of younger men. what's up?
