Just people in general, not a certain person.

I feel like i cant trust people anymore... with the exception of 4 or 5 people.

Is it normal to not like being around people (except a select few) ?

I've thought about it enough to know that I could never do it. I'm not depressed but cannot stop thinking about it. I know everyone has thought about it to some extent but how often is normal?

I remember back when my bf last broke up with me and i went to a counseler to try to get help for myself. I was in a deep depression; i got better but i remember something she told me when i told her i had the problem of men i go for...or the fact why i want this one over the other.
She told me.... you have intelligence and potential to be great in life and people would think you settle for man whose just as great in everyone's eyes as you are. But with you...you seem i think you rather end up or will end up with someone who people wouldn;t think greatly love... instead of the handsome rich successful man everyone loves.. and thats is different.. you go for the poor man who everyone could hate.. who has solittle and isn;t that great you someone like you could find him perfect.
....
is this crazy?

We work closely with a driven perfectionist who, when upset, becomes hard to communicate with. He acts hostile, defensive and eventually becomes unreasonable. He says that people are overlooking him or taking advantage of him or slighting him in some way. If there truly is a misunderstanding and we make amends, he holds a grudge anyway. We have gently tried to point out that things aren't how he thinks they are, but it gets him madder. He insists he's right and refuses to see another point of view. We think it could be a profitable partnership, considering his considerable skills, but he doesn't see how his attitude makes us want to throw in the towel. It feels like we're beating our heads against a brick wall. When he's not mad/defensive/etc, he's actually a cheerful guy with a good sense of humor. Any advice?

We have tried to talk to him, but he just doesn't hear it.

My partner is a hard-working guy and a perfectionist. When he is upset he becomes defensive and unreasonable. Often he gets mad because he thinks that people are overlooking him or taking advantage of him or slighting him in some way, when they're not. If there really is a misunderstanding and we try to make things right, he holds grudges and won't give us a break. When we have gently tried to point out that things aren't how he thinks they are, he argues that he's right and refuses to see another point of view. We'd like to work well together, because he's so great at his job, but he doesn't see how hard it is to deal with him, and after awhile we feel like giving up, but we have to work with him, no way around it. Any advice?

help! i love my boyfriend to death but while he's asleep he can be the noisiest person ever. we live together so we sleep together ever night. many nights i wake up because he snores so loudly. sometimes he's talking or mumbling, but what really urkes me is when he laughs in his sleep. some nights i just sit up and stare at him for awhile and wonder to myself "how can someone be so loud and what the hell is he laughing at!" you may think it's kinda funny but considering the loss of sleep i suffer from it's not. we argue about it all the time, he dozes off before i can fall asleep and after what seems like 10 seconds he's over there cutting logs! i know he can't really help it but does anyone know of anyway at all we can fix this or compromise somehow?

I was IMing some people last night, and one of them said that I should be a counselor. I want a career in a school, just not as a counselor, more of a math teacher.

Well, I was helping them get through some stuff, all advice and that good stuff, and I thought.

Thought about being a counselor. So could I? What degrees do I need?

Ok, suppose you went to a huge party or a social event or a pub/bar. Now, suppose if a guy who came to this event suddenly became the star attraction of it & he started attracting all the women and getting flirts, flatters and basically all the attention from them. Apparently he was so hot, attractive, humorous blah blah blah...Now, in this situation, would YOU start feeling JEALOUS of this guy?

Be honest about it. Have you ever felt jealous of a guy with whom you were partying, but he managed to gain all attraction from the females? It used to happen to me a lot until the last year or two, by the way.

My ex-boyfriend told me that he had this sex dream about me. Very graphic very detailed. We never slept together when we dated. We had an on and off relationship for 4 years. He did tell me that we should have been each other's firsts. We are both 21 right now. We are both in other relationships right now. So whats up.

im inspired by people who exude great confidence. theyre not afraid of saying something stupid, very spontaneous and come off as a smart independent person. how can one achieve that level. ive had some achievements. one is presenting a term paper out of state two months from now, but im afraid i will look like i dont deserve to be there, and i worry about my timid aura. what are the things i can do to seem naturally confident?

My partner can't figure out why no one wants to work with him and why people "forget" to invite him to meetings or include him socially. When there are issues, he is really intense and people think he's "argumentative", "unreasonable" and "inflexible", even though he says he doesn't feel that way. I and others have tried to gently hint that he comes on too strong, but he won't accept it and blames other people for any problems that come up. It's like he won't cut people any slack, but he's totally blind to it. Otherwise, he's an honest guy and a superb worker. We'd like to work well together, but he just doesn't see how he comes across. We've tried to level with him, but it's like he holds grudges and won't give us a break. And we have to work with him, no way around it. Any advice?

How should I go about making this gameplan on improving myself?
ok so i am trying to fix and improve the things i dislike about myself, so my question is how do i go about it? i mean i have a list of things i want to change to make me more happy with myself. ex: slow to anger, not get so stressed out, give 100% to whatever i do, stay positive, be nicer to ppl, not let ppl push me around (not physically, you know what i mean), so do i try to fix everything at once? do i only choose 1 or two things and wait a month and then choose something else? i want to know what i should do. plz help.

I am 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. Lately I have discovered masturbating and have been doing it quite frequently. I dont have much privacy because I have 5 sisters so I often go downstairs to my basement and take off all my clothes and masturbate. I often download pictures off the internet of Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and others and just masturbate to them. Is that normal? Otherwise I often will just sit nude on my recliner and masturbate to girls in my high school bent over with a skirt and no panties on. I love butts. Anyway, is it wrong to do this? I almost got caught the other day by my sister Dawn. I dont want to get ridiculed for this in case I do ever get caught

"The future depends on what we do....on what you do--on whether you do your tasks well or badly; with imaginative vision and analytic truth and constructive sensitivity, or with pedestrian shallowness." Wilfred Cantwell Smith

True or false, or in between? I think good humor should probably be added in there too...

Also, If you are willing to share, what is your religion or worldview and do you think that plays a role in whether or not you believe your life can make a positive (or negative) difference in the world?

The dream occurs perhaps every two weeks or so. It never seems to be the same, reoccuring dream though. In one I was at school, in another I was at a nursing home with my grandma. All of the time though, it will start with one tooth falling out, and I will manage to put it back in. Then a different tooth will fall out, and soon the rest will follow, and I have a hand full of broken teeth. What do these dreams mean?
