Humans, as they rise and evolve, learn to think first subjectively and then objectively. Objective thought is based on natural truths, like, the sun rises and the sun sets. It is based on what we can ALL see or hear or touch or taste or smell. Subjective thought is based on, well, nothing in particular and whatever suits someone at the moment, like, 10,322 angels can dance on the head of a pin. No! 12,431 angels can dance on the head of a pin and if you disagree with me I will go to war and burn your village down. Subjective thinking gets very fanciful and complicated. Most of the problems and complexities that humans experience they create themselves with subjective, or, magical thinking.

Life isn't really all that hard, but you can make it complicated many ways. Worrying about things you cannot change or that young people shouldn't be concerned about can wreck an otherwise pleasant time in your life. Infatuation with celebreties can gnaw at your head until something or someone else comes alone to hold attention for a while. ALL teens and young people fret and worry about so many things all at the same time that it seems to take up time that would be better spent on more concrete real things. "Am I pretty/ handsome/ desirable/ liked/ hated/ ignored/ smart/ stupid/ good/ bad/ evil/ geek/ gnurdy/ popular/ doing the right thing? Worrying about one thing or all things all at the same time can scatter brains, cause depression, zits, tears, and most important, harm your physical and mental health. Things like environmental crap, global warming or cooling, animal "rights", human rights, starving third world peoples, euthanasia, war, and pollution are a few things that have been crammed down your throats and force fed into your minds as being important to young people.
Guess What? They AREN'T the big Earth shattering things you NEED to be concerned about. That bull-oney is for matured minds and people. Getting a good education is something of supreme importance for the young. If you can't read, write, spell, or do math, you probably won't progress far in life without those skills. It's really not hard to do. Not everybody CAN be the best football player, singer, guitar player, dancer, or prom queen. Sad but true? No, just true. There is a simple little song called "Don't worry, be happy" that applies especially to young people.
It's not that life is complicated. It's how complicated YOU make it that is the problem. You can be good and successful or you can (but shouldn't) be bad and end up in prison, or worse. Life's not easy, but it ain't all that hard either. You have to think for yourself. Weigh your options. Think about the consequences of what a bad choice or decision can do. Think about the positive things that can lead to a better life and great job. All is not lost. But it can be overcomplicated by too much worry over unimportant things. Enjoy your youth while you still can. Don't worry yourself into a gloomy, miserable helplessness. Do right by yourself. If you stumble and fall, there's only one thing you can do. And that's to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and stop doing the dumb things that made you fall once. Learn from your mistakes (everybody makes at least one!). Just don't make too many wrong decisions that WOULD hold you down. Don't overload your brain with unimportant garbage. Lighten up on yourself. You can do better and don't let anybody tell you that you can't. Weigh your decisions. Consider the options. Don't be afraid to ask questions or seek knowledge. The truth is out there. And it will find you. If you find a sharp stick, don't stick yourself in the eye just to see if it really hurts. One wrong decision can ruin your whole life. That don't have to be. But only you can save your life. If you stand around waiting for help, you will stand there alone. That won't win you any prizes.
I hope this will get you thinking about what really makes a good life. To much thinking about unimportant or dumb stuff will drag you down. You really don't need $100.00 shoes to run fast or be cool.
(Gnurd was the original spelling of "nerd". The "g" was silent like the "k" in knife.)

Because this world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery. Only one fourth of the souls come here, (the less intelligent ones) that's us. We are not these bodies, race, color, nationality, religions, job, intellect, senses, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. If we do not want the hard struggle for material existence then we have to reconnect with our Maker. The quickest way to get out of illusion and misery is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion) go to harekrishnatemple.c for details read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivdedanta Prabhupada which gives the meaning and purpose of human life.

Life is a big class room; we're here to learn, how to better ourselves and pass it onto others. The negative is to teach us to be strong and survive it. Some people thrive on making it difficult for others, simply to scare us off or to be big enough to handle it.
There is no such thing as a mistake. It's a lesson to teach us or remind us to learn from it.
I hope I'm of some help to you.

Evolution - to quote Dawkins "in the beginning was simplicity".
Evolution makes things more complicated.
Remember, there's always an easy way and a hrad way to do things. The hard way is f*&%$£g hard and the easy way doesn't work!
