im inspired by people who exude great confidence. theyre not afraid of saying something stupid, very spontaneous and come off as a smart independent person. how can one achieve that level. ive had some achievements. one is presenting a term paper out of state two months from now, but im afraid i will look like i dont deserve to be there, and i worry about my timid aura. what are the things i can do to seem naturally confident?

Self confidence and self-esteem are both part of the same asset.
When you have esteem (respect) for your own values and judgment, you also have confidence in yourself.

The answer lies in the question; "self" is the operative word. Self-esteem is a phenomenal power that you can't buy or fake successfully, but you can earn it- however you can only earn it from yourself. It is totally within YOUR power.

Self-esteem IS NOT the same as peer esteem. Nice to have both- but without question, self-esteem is far more valuable. Do not get them confused. Seeking peer esteem usually means trading your identity to get it, and giving others power over you. Seeking self esteem is the opposite.

People with self esteem/self confidence don't know everything; but they aren't ashamed of that and don't try to pretend they do. With self confidence, you don't have to be better than someone else to be OK, because the measure of yourself is within you, rather than determined by others.

.. I do agree with a previous poster who shared his view with you that confidence is a product of,.. or goes hand in hand with self esteem. .... In my opinion however,.. self esteem is the same thing as self Love. ........... This is not a narcissistic self love of course,.. but is rather a condition of being where the individual experiences the love of self in a completely natural and effortless way.

The experience of self love,... in it's truest sense,.. is a result of the letting go of those illusions or false perceptions and beliefs about yourself that prevent you from naturally experiencing the real essence that you are in the core of your being. .... That real essence in all Truth,... is Love itself.

The process of uncovering and bringing to light that true essence of what you are,... is a journey of healing that is available for each and every one of us to take,. .whenever we are ready. ... The way that that journey will unfold however,.. is unique to each and every individual. .... There is no one way to unfold. ... You will find your way very naturally,.. and in the way that is right just for your particular being.

The journey begins,.. when your desire for 'freedom' is finally stronger than your fear of unfolding beyond the familiar space of what you have known yourself to be up to the present. ... Most often this is a natural result of having reached the point in your journey where it is too painful to remain where you are in terms of your state of being,... and you are naturally compelled to seek the Liberation that results from the journey of true inner healing.

Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent. Since it's your nature anyway...think to yourself,"I know a secrete."
