There's an idea of a 'language of the mind' - do you ever have thoughts that you can't express; translate into English? Same thing. They will have that and translate it perhaps into whatever experience they have had of communication - vibrations etc.

Yes, they can. They still have the ability to speak, but their equilibrium (or lack thereof) is what causes them to sound different and can't hear. It's just the vibration of sound that's going off inside the skull. Think of it this way: when you record yourself, do you sound different from what your normally hear yourself when you talk? Same principles.

I don't think so, because when you 'hear' yourself in your head you're hearing what your voice sounds like. So if you've never heard your own voice then you'd really only be thinking to yourself and not in fact hearing your own voice in side your head.

But i 'm not deaf so don't quote me on that one.

depends if you were born that way or it happened later in life. if you were born that way you would have no concept of what sound was, only vibration.
