I'm in this "relationship" I suppose I can call it, with someone who lives across my country, and she loves me, and I'm pretty sure I love her, but it is SO hard, and it hurts me so much to have to be in one this way. We're still young, and it's obvious she's used to being the "bachelor" and being free to be with whomever, because she's never been in a relationship for too long, and this has gone longer than either of us expected. Even when I move out there for school, we still won't see each other very much. I don't want to hurt her, because she's been hurt enough, but I can't help but wonder, is love enough to make something like this work, if you're not sure you want it to? Is it just better to follow your heart?

What's meant to be will always find a way. If you both want to stay together then you both can make it work. And even if you don't see eachother often, then the times you do see eachother will be even more meaningful. If it's too hard on you now, there's a chance you can try again later in your life.

Firstly do follow your heart. And Love is enough to make anything work (it's been going like this since time immemorial). But what is it that you are trying to make work? A relationship? When you don't see or otherwise interact with that person every day, you don't have a "relationship."

long distance relationships NEVER work, bcuz there will ALWAYS be an element of insecurity with at least one of the people involved. I'm sorry to say it, but a breakup may be inevitable. hope this helps.

Cut your losses. Long distance relationships don't work.
