When I get hired i get all excited and and cant wait to start working.

I start the job and enjoy the beginning, learning how things work, learning the routine, meeting new people, etc.

Then after that initial buzz is over, i get tired of working, my work slacks, i fall behind, i become disorganized, then i leave abruptly leaving everything in shambles.

Then i am unemployed and depressed for a time frame, then a find a new job ...usually lying to in order to "fill the gaps", then the whole process starts over and over

Any ideas?

You didn't say what kind of work you do. I'm guessing the work you've been doing may be repetitive and becomes mundane to you after doing it awhile. Look for something that gives you variety..........something that isn't predictable day after day. Look outside the "box" and find something you truly love and find satisfaction and pride in doing.

I had that problem when I was younger. It starts to subside in your midtwenties when you finally figure out what types of jobs you hate and which ones are okay. You'll start being able to classify jobs after a while, and then judge how you'll feel about taking them. One food service job is like another. One retail job is like another, and so on and so forth.

Work on educating yourself for a career. You'll be glad you did. I'm just finishing up with my theatre degree for being a technician. I've already been going out and getting theatre gigs here and there, but right now, untill I get to know more people, I still have to work a job job to pay the bills and get a steady income.

The older you get the more you desire security. I'm 28 and I've been starting to feel it for the last few years.

If you're looking for a job job, then I would suggest deliverying pizzas. You learn your area better and all of the efficient ways to get around town, and it's a little different every night. Plus, if you get sick of one place the other place will hire you....Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut, etc. You can listen to tunes in your car. It's not too bad, and I generally hate job jobs.

Most importantly....don't quit the job that you have until you find a job to go to. That will help with the depression.

Well I'll tell you what you've learned so far. You now know exactly what you don't want to do. Often times people will say that a resume is just a list of jobs that didn't work out.

The quest is to find something that you are really into and that offers plenty of ever-changing challenges. Most everything becomes mundane after you keep doing it for a while. The key is to find something that keeps you inspired to keep on doing what you do. It's good to take time off, and then come back with a fresh perspective. You don't want to get burned out.

Good luck.

Some introspective time may be needed.

You need to find a career you enjoy and hopefully you'll find a workplace with people you like to work with. Not everyone enjoys work - that's why its called work.

The lucky one's will find a job they whole-heartedly enjoy.

Perhaps you loose interest for other reasons. Maybe you have some internal battles you need to work on.

Besides finding something that will genuinely interest you, you need to find something that your good at. There are two kinds of people those that do what they love and those who do what they are good at; the goal is to become both people in one. There has to be a job that your good at that you will genuinely enjoy. What are your life goals, what are your qualifications, what is your career objective think of that than go job hunting and when you look think of your goals first then talents next then and finally how you want your job to fit in your life... worked for me

Sounds like you haven't found a career that you love! If you did you wouldn't be doing this.

Maybe it's time to re-think what you want to do and maybe get a qualification in that field.

If you need to work maybe look at a traineeship.

If you need help go to your nearest government assistance and see if they have a career advisor that can help you.

All the best

Find something that intrests you. Think of looking for a job as looking for a hobby, rather than looking for something to pay the bills.
