...do u think that ppl w/ aspergers r missing out on 2 much
or maybe r ruining the world as a comunity. do u think that if a person w/ aspergers social and work life and everything they do is sucessful and makes sense and could b like ne1 elses do u think there would b a problem. what do u think is the big difference between "nts" and "aspies". what r major things they have in common and that every1 should have in common. do u think that aspies r a good contribution 2 the world . do u think if ppl r born a certain way and there is a known medical way 4 changing them shouldnt they b able 2 choose. do u think if a person wants 2 b something and blieves they can b it they can b it by themselves and their will. has there ever been a person who was born and were diagnosed w/ as as a child but chnaged as they got older. this guy wrote a book who claims he got over it. theres a school thats supposed 2 change ppl with as.
well thats kinda jumbled but if u understand try 2 answer lol ;-)

i am a 13 year old girl and when i was younger my mom said i had aspergers though i dont know if i was diagnosed or not. u all probably remember middle school and how sometimes ability 2 fulfill every aspect of life is expected, and when its not ppl who do fulfill those aspects r highlighted so it makes u want 2 b where they r with them. i was wondering if i have as then does that means i cant do what i want with my life b/c i might embarass some1 or sometghing. i really dont think im as oblivious as some ppl r, but...i dunno lol. cuz ive read taht a lot of aspies(god i hate that word like tarturus), well ppl w/ as dont immediatly understand what ppls intentions r, they can sometimes only c things in a direct way(like their brain is like a computer), and they cant feel empathy which is horrible--if i just jump in, will these things b obstacles and will i b able 2 overcome them? and also is it true that ppl with as always have a problem with starting projects and getting stuff done?

As long as they are living a whole and complete life, it shouldn't matter what they have. One of the kids I watch has Aspergers and he is the sweetest child ever. As long as they want to they can be successful. It doesn't matter what a person has or doesn't have, as long as they are happy and living a whole and complete life. Every person and child who has Aspergers is different and have a different experience in life. It's like asking if there should be a cure for those with ADD or ADHD, or those with birth defects or those missing limbs, or even those without common sense. My question for you is, Why do you ask? Do you have Aspergers and are unhappy with your condition? Do you have a relative with Aspergers?

Kid, don't let anybody fool you. We have a gift. If we use our gift properly, we can be excellent at whatever we put our minds to. Sure, we're not ever going to have a large social network, we're probably going to have failed relationships, but all of that can be compensated if you know how to deal with it the right way.

An Asperger's cure would be a way how to kill our unique personalities. We wouldn't be ourselves anymore with a "cure".

I have not heard of people growing out of Asperger's.
However, there is no reason why a person with Asperger's couldn't go on to have a "normal" life.
People with more debilitiating problems can achieve "normal" lives.
I don't think you can get rid of the Asperger's, but you certainly could get it under control so you could go on to be a productive member of society.
