You'll need at least a master's degree, preferrably a Ph.D. in the field to be competitive in the job market.

Teaching at the college level is one viable career option. The salary is quite modest when you start but will increase with your tenure.

You can get licensed and become a coundelor/psychologist. In this path you either can work for an organization (schools, hospitals...) or open an office yourself. In private practice, you make what you earn, depending on how many patients you can attract and keep.

Probably the highest paying positions are in the field of education. Try getting a Phd in Psychology and become a professor at Harvard, Yale, UCLA, Berkeley.. I'm sure they are paid well.. or become another Dr.Phil I'm sure he is probably the highest paid in his field.. Wayne Dyer was another Psych. who became a famous author/writer
