I have long been a watchdog for womens rights and this is just unacceptable... Second instance of misogyny in as many weeks by Southwest Airlines! Would you kick off this woman off of airplane or any other place?!

How come guys that wear black socks and sandals or size 12 women squeezing into size 4 jeans never get kicked out? Your thoughts please...

This post from another used makes so much sense.. read:

"These "gender roles" of men's and women's unique contributions fell in to place naturally through evolution.

Why is it that every organism on the planet that contains both the female & male dichotomy have "gender roles", yet feminists think human beings should be exempt from this natural rule?

Seems like living a lie up until your mid-life crisis is living a lie, don't you think. Check out this book:

In may professional development course they provided outlines for a basic wardrobe for men and women, I'm curious as to what feminists think of the different expectations for men and women? It says here that women should have three to four skirts, three to four blouses, one to two dresses, six pairs of hosiery, one to two good pieces of jewelry and several other items. The men need suits, jackets, pants, shirts, socks, shoes and ties.
I'm just curious if feminists ( or anyone else) think there's a hugh difference in dress expectations?

This has been bugging me recently. Most women who hang out with gay men tend to be ugly, trashy and enormous overcompensating and immature attention seekers who give heterosexual men migraines with their incessant squealing.

Now I can understand if a heterosexual guy is desperate to get laid and tolerates a chick like this for that purpose, but come on.. this is not relevant to gay guys so why do they seem perfectly happy to tolerate it?

Why do you get women throwing themselves at men in prison they've never met before, but men doing the same with women prisoners almost never happens?

Its like: "We want you to look, but we don't want you to enjoy it". If you enjoy looking, you're a perve.

And I don't buy the whole thing about dressing up for "yourself". Yeah right.. if that were true you would dress up just to sit around the house.

Feminists with sons: Do you want your boys to have men's rights and not be discriminated against by feminism? How do you feel about the fact that feminism has caused society to focus on breast cancer awareness, but ignore prostate cancer? How do you feel about education being given more attention to girls, while boys are ignored in comparison? How do you feel about the fact that if your son becomes a loving caring father and husband, yet divorced an immoral and abusive woman, the courts will side with her and won't let him see his own children and he'll lose much of what he's worked hard for to her? How do you feel about how it's now politically incorrect just be a man? Should your son be referred to as a "potential rapist" as feminists like Andrea Dworkin has alleged? Do you want the best for your sons?

Also, feminists without sons -- if you did have a son would you want him to have rights?

Why is there such little attention paid to satisfying the man? Even when a woman cheats a lot of people will say the guy didn't satisfy her. But when a man cheats he is a jerk.

But why all the foucs on womens needs in this culture? Maybe this is one reason a lot of men today don't want serious relationships.. whats the benefit of being in one when so many women take more than they give back?

They complain that men only want to get into their pants. But when you think about it... if todays women offered men something more valuable than sex, maybe they would look for more than sex.

With all the feminization of society these days, what else to women offer that men can count on?

I don't need lots of accusations of 'why not, woman-hater?'. I'm interested from an anthropological perspective. I would have thought that attributing that much power to a female symbol as long ago as when chess was invented would have been quite unusual. Anyone have any background knowledge? Speculation welcome. Thanks.

I have a nice figure ( but I don't go overboard) like the girls on Southwest Airlines. However, I feel funny around women who wear the hijab, as if by their presence I am made to feel morally lacking in a group. I feel insulted because I am naturally attractive and I feel that they are trying to force their beliefs (Allah) on me. I think a little fun is okay. I love my freedom to independence, and no matter what women say who wear the hijab, they are giving up a bit of freedom. I love wearing heels on a bright sunny day and wearing my hair down, hanging on my shoulders. Also, as much as a woman who wears the hijab wants to believe she will never experience the wonderful feel of running along the beach with her nice sexy muscled legs, enjoying just breathing and being herself. I know other women will answer this by saying they can run along the beach with a hijab which I feel is BS -never in the same way, it must be stifling-literally and figuratively.

Ever notice that when a girl is into a guy, her interest level stays high as long as he stays cool and doesn't get to attached. But the second he gets attached to her and starts treating her nice and showing care and affection, she starts losing passion. Why is this?

After some bad experiences I feel like I have to force myself to act aloof with women I like to avoid scaring them away. It sucks because when I like a woman I want to treat her like a queen. But everytime I've ever treated a woman like a queen she became detached and (excuse my French) treated my like sh!t.

Have there been any studies that linked the two?

discriminatory thoughts? If I am free to think about discriminating doesn't that still allow the possibility, regardless of what the law says, for me to discriminate? Won't there always be discrimination as long as we can think freely about whatever we want? Won't there always be someone who acts out regardless of what the law says?

Isn't it hard to prove discrimination thus making it easier for those who do discriminate to get away with it even easier? Wouldn't that fact essentially allow people to get away with discrimination?

My argument:

Prejudicial/discriminatory thoughts don't always lead to discrimination.
But discrimination always comes from prejudicial thoughts.

If all this is true, and it is acknowledged that discrimination will always exist, then what is the point of continuing the 'fight against discrimination' since it will never be reduced to nothing? If it is to go as low as possible, then how low is that?
