Pregnancy - August 2007

This is my first pregnancy and of course as soon as I found out I told EVERYONE I'm 10 weeks, and I have the biggest fear of something happening I can't even sleep most of the time, both our partents took off work near the due date the whole nine yards...what's getting to me is that my step-sister and I got pregnant two days apart and she lost her baby last week i'm just horrified it will happen to me, I heard the babys heartbeat a couple days ago and they said the chances drop dramatically, what did you guys do to start thinking more positive and to keep your mind off of it? I appreciate any advice, Thank you.

Hi. My wife and I are to the point where we are talking about trying to get pregnant. Now, she is a very small woman (5,2 110lbs) and fairly "tight" downstairs. I know in some cases they have to cut the perenium in order to let the baby out, but I'm wondering if there's anything we can or should do to maybe help stretch and prepare her so she's able to give birth easier? Like practicing with and gradually stepping up to larger and larger sized objects? Could that make child birth easier?

Is it weird for a teen girl to be thinking about guys and marriage and even wanting to be pregnant? If you are a teen girl btw and you get pregnant by accident how do you tell the guy without scaring him off (he's just as young as you are)

My husband and I have been married 3 years to the day in a few days - and I have also found out i was PG - we were not actively TTC, but also not doing anything to prevent a pregnancy.

He has two children from a previous relationship, and when we got married he said he wanted more but at the right time. We're at the right point in my opinion and honestly the risk of having a tubal pg for me is high which if this is a normal pregnancy I of course would never want to abort. I wouldn't want to abort anyway except for medical life/death reasons.

He says I have to get one. I'm very fustrated and concerned - I originally said I don't want to consider kids till about 2010 (I would be early 30s) but well we were blessed now.

He didn't say he would leave me, but then again he obviously believes in divorce as he has before so I don't want to risk losing him and my family.

Why is it a woman who already has a child gets pregnant easily than before she had one?

I have heard jokes about not letting a man breath on you after your first child because conceiving after the first pregnancy is a breeze!! (Which was true in my case)

Wonder if there is a scientific reason behind it?!?!

Hi all. Okay so I am about 12 weeks preg. I am only 18 and come from a very broken home. I have no family to help me, and b4 you call me a w h o r e, I was with my bf for 4 yrs and we just recently broke up bc we are both going to college. I have no way of contacting him. I finally have something good in my life by going to nyu. I actually have a future for myself and a baby would ruin everything i have worked so hard for. Adoption is not an option for me bc i would never want my child to have to go through what I went through in the diff homes I grew up in. So my options are abortion or keeping the baby. I have no idea what to do but I need to decide soon. I just want to hear what ppl think I could do. Keep in mind if i keep the baby i will have to drop out of school and that would hurt me sooo much u have no idea. so please help me!! thankyou.

this is a lot of information and i'm sorry about that, just quit reading if you want. :)

anyway- i have had really bad diarrhea for the last 2 days and my doctor has me drinking lots of fluids and gatorade etc, so i have been doing that.
today i noticed bright red blood on my toilet tissue after wiping back there, but there is no blood in the stool. even when i haven't, you know, gone #2, there is still blood on the tissue from back there (i know it isn't coming from the vagina, it's from the back) it's been happening all day.
i don't hurt like i have hemmorhoids, just feel a little irritated down there, but could the irritation from the diarrhea cause the bleeding?
i don't know if it's normal or something that i should be worried about??

(i'm 32 weeks pg)

I fainted this mornng, and while I didn't hurt myself, it was pretty scary. This is not my first pregnancy, but my first time EVER passing out. I did see a doctor today, nt my usual doc, and he passed it off as normal. It just freaked me out! Wondering if many others have experienced this?

I'm only 5 weeks pregnant, so I'm obviously not showing yet. But I can't hide the fact that I'm sick. I've been off of work for almost a week, but luckily I have other symptoms like coughing and runny nose. So people just think I have a bad head cold. I sit in a cubicle all day typing, but this pregnancy is bringing me dizziness, which is giving me trouble with focusing. If my boss comes up behind me unexpectedly, and I'm not working because I'm dizzy, she may think I'm being lazy. Any suggestions on how to stop the dizziness or hide it?

It is getting harder to go on with my daily activities when I have such bad all day nausea (no vomiting). Has anyone else had this problem and what have they done to relieve it?

she doesnt want to be admitted, this is her second child and she wanted to have the first at a birthing center. She had complications and wasnt able to. Now its her second and her water broke this morning. She doesnt have strong or consistant contractions and is only dialated 2. If she doesnt get some good progression to her labor, she'll have to be induced and wont be able to have her baby at the birthing center again! any ideas?

*because the water broke already, sex is out and a lot of walking is sort of out. she is leaking so its hard really to walk.

okay heres my problem i came out of hospital today from delievering my baby boy on monday when i just got outside my door my nose started bleeding on the left nostrel and only the left nostrel lasted perhaps a minute or 2
then it didnt come back till 3hrs later and the same thi9ng happened again what could that mean could i be something delayed from my labor(i had a natural labor) any ideas much apprechated
also i am never common 2 get a nose bleed at all unless i bang my nose or something and also when i have my nose bleed i feel a bit dizzy and jus before it happens i have this headache feeling

I'm so worried about my sister because 2 years ago she had an Ectopic pregnancy and had to have a tube removed.

She has now got pregnant again and so far it is too soon for the doctors to tell if its Ectopic, they'll do another scan in 10 days, but i'm soo worried that something bad will happen between now and then i am so nervous and having bad sleeps i dont want anything bad to happen to her. Do you know how many weeks ectopic pregnancies are likely to occur?? she is currently at five weeks

I'm sure this is on every pregnant mothers mind, but i can't seem to get it off mine. I know what happens when a woman miscarries before 20 weeks, but what happens when a woman loses the baby after 20 weeks when it's concidered a still birth? Same things as a misscarriage? I'm scared that my body will not let me know when something is wrong. My pregnancy is great so far. I didn't bleed, or spot any time during this one, or the first one. But just something that sits in the back of my head. I'm trying to enjoy my pregnancy. Thanks for your information!

i got a positive pregnancy test 1 week ago, (i took it 5 days before my missed period) and then today i started bleeding?? it's not painful and it's not heavy, it's a bright red color, it started out brown and then it turned out to be a bright red color and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem is, please no rude answers

ok i guess i might be blowing a little steam..but anyways my stepsister told me today that she wasnt preg anymore she had an abortion..she asked me if i was mad i said well yea because there is people out there that cant have babys and then theres people like her that can and they just think they can kill their baby..and the reason she had an abortion is because she was preg.by a married man..oh whats wrong with people..anyways i told her that she was going to have to carrie the burden on her shoulder the rest of her life..then she said well later on in the future i am going to have kids..so should i be mad and not talk to her anymore?should i let it go?or what should i do..that broke my heart..yall let me know please..
