There are some stomach-settling methods:
Preggo Pops are lollipops that help settle a queasy stomach pretty often.
Crackers in bed (or cereal, or toast) help some women.
Vitamin B6 can do wonders, you take it the night before.
If she talks with her doctor, he'll probably be happy to give her Zofran to help with her queasiness.
I found Sea Bands (pressure bracelets) were a miracle for me during my twin pregnancy. They look a bit dorky but they worked wonders.
So did Big Red chewing gum: I'd have a piece after every meal. It made the food aftertaste go away and usually helped me with the stomach heaving.

OMG! someone the same as I was, for 7 months I was like that, only able to eat boiled sweets, I went to the doctors on numerous occasions, but to tell you the truth they didn't help much, I tried absolutely everything that is recommended for sickness and nothing worked, so I know exactly what your girlfriend is going through it is a nightmare.
You dont say how far her pregnancy is if she is in the first trimester there is time for it to pass, but if she is more than 3 months, she really needs to see the doctor for her sake, as the baby will be fine, your girlfriend has nutrients etc stored in her body to take care of the baby.
Also it turned out that I had hyperemesis gravidarum which I ended up been hospitalised due to lack of interest from my doctor in the early stages, so dont let the doctor suggest 'eating ginger nuts and you will be fine' really stress to him/her that she is concerned and needs help, some doctors easily dismiss severe sickness.
After I came out of hospital I was prescribed sickness tablets which are safe to have during pregnancy (from the doctor only!) these helped a little, so she could mention this to the doctor, as my doctor was unaware of them until he looked them up in his medical book!!!
Tell her there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and there is help for her, my heart goes out to her because I know how terrible it is!!!!
I found this link for you if she is in the early stages of pregnancy which is really good advice.

No spicy foods, No tomato based products that will effect the stomach. No greasy fried foods either. Just try bland foods like toast, bread, a bland cracker, also when she is eating, early morning is not good, try late morning, and early afternoon like 2 in the afternoon. Sometimes the temperature of the food, some pregnant women don't tolerate hot food well. I had severe morning sickness, I called my obstetrician and had given me a script for meds. It helped allot. Every women is different and what their stomach tolerates- just be their for her, because the first three months are tough. Best wishes and Congratulation on your future child.

Stay in bed for half an hour after waking and sip a digestive herbal tea, such as peppermint, fennel or chamomile, or a glass of mineral water with a few dry crackers. Rise slowly, take some fresh fruit or fruit juice and breathe deeply in the open air. Half an hour later have a slice of wholegrain toast with yeast extract and a second cup of herbal tea.

Ugh, been there...she can take TUMS to help her tummy, or try drinking peppermint tea. A little Pepsi helped me.
Do NOT let her take Pepto Bismol or anything like that. Everything she takes has to be "baby safe".
Let her eat whatever stays down at this point! Sickness usually subsides after the first trimester, so don't nag her about what to eat.
If she becomes dehydrated or it goes on for days, she may need to see a doctor. Some women need to be hospitalized for profuse vomiting during pregnancy.

As long as she gets plenty of fluid there's not much more you can do. They do say ginger makes you feel better but I wouldn't think so as morning sickness has a mind of it's own! If this has been going on a while she may need to be checked out as she could become dehydrated and need to be hospitalised and go on a drip. Either way thankfully by her 4th month it should all be gone and she'll start to actually be able to enjoy her pregnancy. Here's hoping! x

Have her try saltine crackers, dry toast and ginger ale. My friend had morning sickness all day for months and she said that she found eating right before bed helped and having some protein too helps especially for in the morning. Tell her not to eat huge or big meals...try snacking here and there thru-out the day. Have her eat a few crackers and sip of water and stuff before she gets up out of bed. If it continues have her talk to her doc and see if he has any suggestions.
The preggo pops you can get at motherhood maternity and maternity stores like that.

I found that if i ate saltines when i woke up in the morning, it helped with the nasua....... and i also ate boxes of them in the first weeks of my pregnancy. I also found that ginger ale helped me sooo much!!! it was the only thing i could drink some days. And hey if all she can keep down is sweets than let her eat them.... atleast she's eating. The sickness will subside soon enough and than she can focus on eating the right foods. don't worry she will be ok......... and shes not alone!!

Unfortunetly the only this you can do it wait it out. Morning sickness in my opinion is the worst part of pregnancy. Just have her eat smaller meals, and nothing to spicy, or greasy. goodluck
