I fainted this mornng, and while I didn't hurt myself, it was pretty scary. This is not my first pregnancy, but my first time EVER passing out. I did see a doctor today, nt my usual doc, and he passed it off as normal. It just freaked me out! Wondering if many others have experienced this?

I have had light-headedness all through this pregnancy, (I'm 24 weeks) so I have learned to move slower, increase my water (big time) and lay on my left side as much as possible, this incident today was just scary!

It's probably low blood sugar, especially since you said it happened in the morning. I had the feeling like I could pass out lots of times in the mornings with my last (third) pregnancy with my little girl. After I ate and drank something it got better and soon after I was fine. I think it had to do with going all night without eating causing drops in blood sugar. I was not gestational diabetic, either. Try moving slowly when you get up and getting at least a quick snack. Could help.

Are you between 17 and 23 weeks pregnant? At this point in the pregnancy is when your blood pressure gets the highest and can make you pass out. It happened to me when I was pregnant. If the doctor says everything else is normal, it should be fine! Good Luck

it is very common actually. it has to do with your blood pressure. like if you were sitting down for a long period of time and then stood up to fast it will cause a sudden drop in blood pressure and will cause you to faint. But fainting during pregnancy if VERY common. It is also VERY scary but you and your little one are fine right? just dont stress out over it. stressing to much is not healthy for you or your baby.

No I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you do it again then I would have my blood checked.Just to double check my sugar levels. It's normal. I know it is scary. Just try to get it off you mind and if you start to get that feeling again. Sit down real fast. Cause you don't won't too fall hard.

It's normal. It happened to my sister-in-law after she'd been crouching in the same position for too long (filming something). That's how the people she worked with discovered she was pregnant. I know your instinct is to worry, but try not to fret. I assure you, it happens often.

i actually had a good friend go through this too and she was anemic. if you are anemic or if you aren't sure you need to get tested for that-- passing out and lightheadedness can definitely be signs of low iron and that can be dangerous in pregnancy.

i never passed out but make sure you drink a lot of water... that was probally the problem if it happens again.... id get another doctor because no doctor should ever tell you that its ok to passout when your pregnant. good luck
