I think i am in going into labor and the dr says to come right to hospital because of prior c-sections but I am scared. Did anyone have a baby at 36 weeks and if so was it ok?

My sister had her baby at 35 weeks and she was perfectly healthy.
I had preterm labor with my first at 34 weeks and the doc said all they needed to do was give me a shot of steroids for the baby's lungs and by the time he's out, he'll be fine, but decided to stop labor instead.
The sooner you get there, the sooner they can either stop labor of give you the steroid, and at 36 weeks, they will most likely leave the decision up to you.

Should be perfectly fine. The baby is considered full term at either 36 or 37 weeks. Good luck.

I had my baby at 34 weeks and she is now a normal healthy 13 month old but she did have to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks because she didn't want to eat. My friend had her daughter at 35 weeks and she went home with mom. Everything will be fine! Congrats!:)

I did 36 wks and 4 days by emergency c-section she came out 6lbs 1.9 oz 18 inches long healthy. But yes 36 wks is condered preterm thats why he wants you to go to the hospital.

36 weeks is considered full-term. If you're in labor, it's a mute point because you can't exactly ignore it. Go to the hospital and find out your options.

I was induced for my last baby at 36 weeks, and she was born healthy and 7lb 12oz!!! I had amnio done the week before to check her lungs, and she was perfectly ready to be born. She didn't even have to stay in the special care nursery or anything, roomed in with me for the 2 days and we went home. Don't worry, baby is well developed now and will be fine.

I didn't have a baby that early but I've known people who did. The baby will be a bit smaller than it would have been if it had been delivered at 40 weeks but it should be fine. At that stage, they're pretty much fully developed.

I have given birth twice at 35 weeks and they were both fine, and came home with me, and no time in the NICU. But if the doctor told you to go to the hospital, why are you here asking questions and not on your way to the hospital?

38 weeks is considered full term...... however you can deliver 2 week before this to 2 weeks after and still be considered "term" which means 36 weeks is ok.... good luck... don't stress, not good for you or your baby at this point.
